- Being on the flood plains of the nearby river colne, there is nowhere really great to skate, although if you creep into St. Barbary's Church, it is possible to stake down the side of the low roof of the church and onto the pastors collection of pillows which he keeps in an exterior compound. Just don't go down the wrong side or you may end up in his exterior ccompound which he keeps for the storage of unstable explosives and landmines "for a special occasion" he reckons. Yeah, right...
- There are no real places to skateboard on due to the complete flatness of the area, though some parts of the old Army firing range at Tom Hianes sands have a slight camber. Beware the mines though.
