| New Sandwich Bar In Strood

There is a great new Sandwich Bar called Franz'n'Janz opposite Spike Lee's. I went in there today and the sandwiches were lovely. They also sell pies, jacket potatoes, cakes and the usual crisps, chocolate and hot and cold drinks. A breath of fresh air for Strood to have a quality food place. Recommended :-))

| Are there any Higglesden's out there ?
|
by Nigel May (Member 10252284) on 23-Sep-2010

I know that there are several Higglesden's who use this site from time to time.
I'm related to many Higglesden's from the Chatham area and trying to put together a Family Tree.
I'm particularly struggling with some of the more recent generations where it starts to get a bit murky !
I would be pleased to make contact with any Higglesden's out there who could help, and will of course share the existing information I have.
It seems that the name Higglesden derived from the name Igglesden which in itself derived from a whole variety of other names. The name Egglesden is also used by some family members too. But if you are a Higglesden, you probably know that already !
Any help would be most welcome. ... more >>

Hi Danielle,
Thanks for your reply.
As previously mentioned,I'm researching my own Family Tree, and I find myself related to quite a few Higglesden's. I'm a 3rd Cousin once removed to your half Sister Louise, as well as to yourself. I have been in contact with Louise in the last couple of days via Facebook.
I can trace parts of the family back to the 1700's but its some of the more recent generations where I'm having trouble putting all the people in the right place in the jigsaw !
If you think you may be able to help, perhaps you would contact me on my E Mail address which is nigelmay@sky.com, as its a bit more private than on here.
Many thanks,
Nigel.

If my message of 26 September has caused some confusion in the Higglesden family I apologise !
There are two Danielle Higglesden's-and I have been in contact with both, but I have confused myself between the two of them in this message !

hi trish,iv been keith,s girlfriend for ages now.since june actually, the second time around.the first time we met and fell in love we were going to come and stay at your house so i could meet you,but unfortunatly that never happend.our relationship did a strange turn for the worst,i didnt know why, sudenly, and keith started acting real strange.obviously i was devestated, here was a guy that said he loved me.we talked about our future together and of moving in together and kids.he wanted me to meet you so much.so, to cut a long story short,it ended up i had to take keith to court for mental abuse and harrasment,he pleeded guilty, eventualy my hair started to grow back (yes,it was that bad) then we started to see each other again in june.we talked, cryed, laughed,he cnfessed about his cocaine problem,he confessed that was why the problems before, said he,d got off it,and we started seeing each other again.brilliant.or so i thought.he told me one day that he,d been to his mums and had tryed to explain to you that we were an item again but apparently you gave him the ultumation.either chose me,or you and the family would dissown him.i cryed, but told keith to choose his family as i know how much it ment to him, after you dissowning him before when he went to prison.we carried on seeing each other though.i kept saying to keith, just let me meet you, then you could see for yourself that im not an ogre, lol.he said he was to scared of the consequences and to leave it be.my question to you patricia is why?.why you made youre son choose, surely you would want the best for keith.we have finnished now,due to the fact he was leading a double life.not just with you but to his friends as well.i would just like some answers please, yours sincerly, please, please reply, tracey lambert, maidstone x ... more >>
