  • If you want exhibitions there are usually diplays in the library. Chelmsford college usually has students final art collections on display at the end of the summer. If you want art materials go to the art shop opposite Argos or Clarks near the post office. For cheaper art materials (cheap brushes etc.)go to the Works in the meadows shopping centre. If you have just won the lottery then go to Hussey and Greaves on Moulsham Street (beware they add the VAT to the price on the ticket when you go to the till). Clarkes and H&G have student discounts. The Shire Hall (the building that looks like the one in Back To The Future at the top of the high street)has occasional craft fairs in the foyer on saturdays.
  • Hussey & Greaves is top the got it all and if they don't they will do their best to point you in the right direction also you can try the works too got some good stufffor low prices
