Inside Information and Stuff Only Locals Know

Hookup Spots
  • Are you surprised no one from Chertsey puts any events on the website when you have such one sided negative stuff from 2001 so high in the listings? Look at the comedy club, the jazz events and the loads of kids stuff happening around Chertsey. Yes - not much for teegagers - same as most Surrey towns. The teengagers go to Staines to hook-up and hang out.
  • I couldn't find an e-mail address for anyone on your site, so have had to just write to you this way. I am a 23-year old student journalist, and have just started working for the Surrey Herald in Chertsey, which is running concurrently with the course that I am doing. Anyway, I was wondering if you can maybe e-mail me at; thedevilsdiamond@yahoo.co.uk if you have any stories whatsoever! I need local news and was thinking of running a feature on skaters vs. townies. Anyway, if anything is happening in your area or anyone you know wants to share a story with me, I'd love to hear from you. Cheers. Nadia Mendoza (07783108221 - feel free to call or text me)
  • On the small bridge outside the library, You will either be mugged by some spotty hoody or meet a dark damsel.
  • The Castle Chertsey for all your passive smoking needs, Zymurgy near the station is a good-ish wine bar (pricey though) but does/did run comedy nights tues/weds nights
  • If you're looking for a fight try Gogmore Park. If you want a game of football try Chertsey Rec. If you want somewhere out of the way to do whatever you do try St. Annes Hill. Abbey Fields is also good for a kick about or just discreet sipping of alcopops come the evening.
  • Simpsons
  • Gogmore Park
  • St. Ann's Hill, setting fire to various clapped out old bangers stolen from one of the Estates down Heriot Road; and rolling them down the hill. Can make quite an amusing evening.
  • For many a year the townie kids hung around the grounds of Chertsey Library, then strangely it burnt down in 2001. Allegedly it was the wiring in the library, or was it, also allaegedly, the aforementioned, uneducated, alchopops drinking trendy retards and a cheap disposable lighter.....or was it horror of horrors, again allegedly, a Machivelian attempt to get rid of the library all together so that the Health Club could get a bigger carpark....after all, who reads *books* in this day and age? Everybody's exercising themselves to death... Simpson's Fried Chicken/ Onestop on Windsor Street or over the road in front of the Church.
  • Outside Sainsbury's, on the trolleys. Oh yes, where all the cool kids hang out. Also, the estates round about the town centre, and behind St Peter's Church
