Places to go to see the latest releases

You can tell us more about Chesham.

Cinemas
  • The Elgiva
  • FACILITIES SUCH AS THE ELGIVA SHOULD BE KEPT ALIVE ...AND YOU CAB TAKE ALCOHOL INTO A FILM , SHOULD SHOW MORE INDEPENT FILMS ..CREAT A NICHE
  • Used to have a cinema but theres a great cinema in a nearby town called Berkhamsted, shows independant movies. http://www.therexcinema.com/therex/home/home.asp?A33 Theres also a cinema in Jarmen Park-Hemel Hempstead not far away either
  • elgiva, not good for the latest stuff but they show some good foreign language films, quite broad range of films.
  • Again Jarman Park will be your best bet for seeing a Movie, they do have a really good selection though and prices arent too bad.
  • HA HA HA... You just got to laugh.. if your a OAP the elgiva is useful!! They put films that were released a year before on dvd and expect u to pay a price above what u could rent it for from blockbuster, PERLEASEEEEEEEEE!! Head to Garston (North Watford) for a decent cinema ;)
  • The Elgiva shows films regularly. Go to Rex Cinema in Berkhamsted, old style cinema with luxury seating and bar plus visits from actors like Judi Dench.
  • elgiva is the nearest thing we have to a cinema..... but unless you want to pay a load of money to watch a film that you can get from choices/the library i would go to another cinema like hemel or wycombe
  • The Elgiva
  • Elgiva. I'm amazed at what they have to offer. They get films into their cinema at least 2 years after they've been on video release, and then expect you to turn up with the title deeds to your property as security for the cost of the tickets. Come on - sort it out. Just go to VideoPlus/Choice, rent out a film, and then get a really big TV in the auditorium, and make us watch that - it'll be so much cheaper.
  • used too .. but of course ..its chesham .. so it was knocked down .. TA DA !! ...another handy spot the junkies
  • The Elgiva shows films usually a few weeks after they have come out. One benefit though is you can take alcoholic drinks into the cinema.
  • ONLY ELGIVA, GO TO HEMEL
  • The Elgiva....i wouldn't recommend it
  • Elgiva.. small crap.. say no more!.
  • Sorry, you have to go to Hemel or Wycombe!
  • Zip diddly. Oh, unless you enjoy the british seas-side resort feel to be experienced in The (newly re-built but still uni-plex) Elgiva.
  • The Elgiva Hall - good for films that came out last year!
