Skateboarding Spots
  • As of 2010, Linkhouse has been rendered unskateable. Linkhouse Staff have removed all DIY skateboarding ramps and pallets, and turn the car-park lights off in the evening. They have even installed a guard-dog on constant patrol every evening to deter skaters from riding there. Let me tell you, it bites. The Council have removed the two rails as of 2008/9 and removed the metal ramp in 2011. Rumour has it, youths were using it as a crack-den of sorts. For a short time at the beginning of this year (2012), they didn't chain up the ramps as a test to see how the park would be used in the evenings.. Despite no disturbances the chaining routine is back. The time has shifted back an hour from 8:30 to 7:30 recently, much to the dislike of many skaters and pedestrians. We are outraged at £800/year spent on this feckless lock-up system, to be frank. The Plumb Center towards Pond Park is a rough but fairly skateable spot and features: one bank w/ledge, one gap to wall, and several drops. The New Doctor's Surgery is a great place for cruising and longboarding. Includes smooth tarmac and a few kerbs dotted around that are ideal for manual tricks. "Underground," the car-park found at the rear of the George and Dragon pub, is legally-skateable in agreement with the company that owns the car-park and Thames Valley Police.
  • Sk8 park,sainsburies, subway, hsbc.
  • 2007 - PARK - OPENING HOURS ? SURELY SHOULD BE OPEN ALL THE TIME ?
  • There is a skate park near the town, but the streets are a pretty good place too. Heres a list of places to perfect different types of tricks. Griniding: Near the skate park there are lots of random rails and walls that are easily grindable. Also check out around where waitrose is. There are some benches and stuff around the town but the surface might cause problems, church steps are always good for that as well. Kick tricks: In the same area there is a long path where you can build speed and also there is a medium size area where the fountain used to be by the duck pond. Getting Air/Speed: The skate park is the only place you can really get speed. (Sorry street skaters). Grabs: Again but unless you can get good air normally the skate park is the best place to go. Manuals: The flat area where the fountain was and the large path near it.
  • Skateboarding in the park
  • for skateboarding there is obviously the skate park in loundes park, though it is usually full of people who don't skate and just sit there. I have seen people at the weekends skating, roller blading and biking on the ramps. (and for thoughs who just sit by the ramps trying to look 'cool' there is one metal ramp at the top of the park that no one actually uses.)
  • Lowndes Park has a skateboard park
  • If you're gonna use the skate park, or skate anywhere actually or for that matter not wear something with a lable then stay in a group or theres a chance you might get beaten up!
  • There is also a good under-cover car park neer the clock tower with curbs 'n' stuff. Sometimes it's even lit at night (!). Is no longer any use. We can't use it now so it might as well be taken off here
  • NEW WICKED PARK! 2 QUARTER PIPES, DEATH/FUN BOX WITH RAIL(OF DOOM) DOWN ONE SIDE, 2 FLATGROUND RAILS-ONE SQUARE GORGEOUS BEAST OF A RAIL AND THE OTHER IS SLOPING ROUND RAIL, HALF PIPE AND A METAL MINI UP THE END OF THE PARK. CHECK THIS PLACE OUT
  • * Sainsburys car park: Might not be your best pick but on a sunday it is empty lots of nice kirbs **WARNING** some sundays can be busy dont ask me why Thankfuly no kevs go here. *skate park* Obliviously Find it in lownes park but you get the anoying odd kev or 7 yr old scooter there.
  • where getting a skate park worth £55,000.56 just before the summer holiday. and mark channer who skates for unabomber used to live up chatridge lane and learn't to skate in all the same spots we do. ps put your name on the sight.
  • Whatever u do do NOT skate in chesham.. groups of sk8 h8ing hooligans and kevs who give u trouble.. Travel in a big group!
  • Mis-informed council provided two ramps in the park, thinking flat-land would then die out. Plenty of tarmac around though, just watch out for narrow-minded councillors and small dogs.
  • The LINK HOUSE by the Elgiva. There are a few home made ramps about and you can nic small crates from Great Mills. We even have permision to use it now (ooooohhhh!!).
  • There is also a good under-cover car park neer the clock tower with curbs 'n' stuff. Sometimes it's even lit at night (!).
  • Lowndes Park has a Zebra mini. 8 feet wide. Careful of bum-boarding kids in the evening. Now also has a Freestyle Ramp. Also rad underground car-park and school with a bank. You might be better off heading for Harrow or St Albans.
