- Adam Clayton of U2 was born in Chinnor. Failing that, I believe some composer lived up Chinnor Hill, but the name escapes me (possibly Elizabeth Lutyens?), and now one of the weathermen - Bill Giles I think lives a few doors along from my friend's old house... (It's been a long time since I lived there)
- Not sure if this is the right category but Chinnor was on Police Camera Action a while ago. A nice little sketch with a guy being tracked by helicopter from the Village Hall to rectory Meadow where he was rightly arrested. There's no room for the criminal element in Chinnor!!!! Well its sort of celebrity.
- Adam Clayton (U2) was born here.
Stuart Copeland (Police) lives on the Hill
