- Once you hit the age where walking around the outskirts of the village for a bet gets boring, there's bugger all to do. Cycling to Thame is a pain (10 mins going - downhill, 60 coming back.... or is that my memory?) Nowhere to buy clothes, records, see films, swim if you're over 11 (the primary school not believing that you're only 10...), go to school except by bus, get a job unless you're supremely lucky... learning to drive is the way out.
