- Val Doonican used to live in The Drive. Martin Kemp and Wendi Peters of soap fame live here.
- Dean Wedlake lives there now, think hes moving out after summer though
- Michael Portillo's mother is as fame-ridden as Chorleywood gets.
- Julie Felix still lives in Heronsgate. I know, I am a mate of her lovely daughter.
- Graham Taylor, ex. England manager, he might have moved now though.
- Terry Pratchett was born and raised here. Chorleywood gets a mention in his book "Good Omens" which he wrote with comics legend Neil Gaiman.

- The architect Voysey lived in Chorleywood. He designed his own house, the Orchard, and there are several other houses there designed by him. Rebecca West, the novelist, gave birth to her illegitimate son by HG Wells, Anthony West (journalist), in Chorleywood.
