The Stuff We Can't Fit In Somewhere Else
- Village Day is Sat 14th July on Chorleywood Common!
- Chorleywood was recently in all the newspapers as the 'Happiest Place to live in Britain'
- The most abnoxious and stuck up people in the country proberbly
- i love the fac that we are in the countryside, but also only 30mins away from one of the most important cities in the world!
- St. Andrew Church was a prime promoter of what became know as the 'Toronto Experience'. This was an alleged 'move of God' in which Christians behaved like animals screeming and laughing like the occupants of a lunatic asylum. This began 10 years ago and was supposed to be the prelude to a massive revival. Instead UK Charismatic/Pentacostal churches attendance fell by 16% between 1993 and 2000 (according to the Brierley Report). So still no revival Stibbie.
- When I lived in Chorleywood it was my first time to visit England and being able to live in an English village was a new and exciting experience for me. I enjoyed walks in the woods and around town and country just looking an photographing everything. Even the Commons and the train station with trains coming in. I can see how it may be boring little town for those who have always lived there and have done everything available and legal. Being my first time to England, of course I had to visit London as much as possible. One suggestion for the young people who are bored; join the military and see the world! I did.
- The Vicar at St. Andrews Church did not had a breakdown over Christmas 2000, he was ill.
The church is a charismatic church and practices the gifts of the Spirit. The stuff that's in the bible!
The church is very popular, and there are more young people than old people in the church.
It does not have the most expensive housing in England by a long way.
- The Vicar at St. Andrews Church has had some sort of a breakdown over Christmas 2000. For years he said there would be an imminent revival which never materialised.
- Strange things go on at St. Andrews Church. Last year the assistant vicar claimed to have been given gold teeth.
- this place sux and no1 does nething about it. its alruight 4 old ppl coz theres no excitment here so they wont go and die on every1.....
theres no fit lads (that ive seen and ive lived here all my life!)
and well it sux arse
- Chorleywood is also on the Chiltern Railway BR line that terminates at Marylebone.
- About the most expensive housing in England!
