- Salisbury Arms - Purewell Christchurch is a great place to check out local music scene - the beers good too
- Thomas Tripp in Wick Lane has some good local bands at the weekend. Nearby Burton Manor usually has music too.
- there's an acoustic night at the oasis cafe in sxon square. the thomas tripp also has bands, but don't go there 'cos they cancelled a mates band's gig at the last minute, after they'd brought a load of people to see them.
