- i must be getting old, went to tom peppers last thursday, smarties served up with your pints, How long they been doing the white smarties then!!
- bout time someone told that dj to retire innit!
- home from uni for xmas, wish i'd stayed there, went in tom peppers over christmas, yeh you guessed it that bald dj is still there spinning with his zimmer frame, ha ha better than fibbers though, cant work out wots gone on in there, thought i was still on uni drugs!!
- The stab and thumpin.
- Crab & Pumpkin - the best table football table ever, good people
The Cockney Pride - cheap cheerful on the beach great during the summer
- they're all shit, cept the vodka bar under tom peppers. that aint bad. rasputins i think its called
- The Plough in Gt.Clacton is a friendly pub, serving real ale and you'll always find somebody to talk to! The Queens Head next door does excellent food and great beers too.The pubs in Clacton by the seafront are disappointing for real ales and service .The Wetherspoons pub-Moon and Starfish is poor by the standard of their other pubs.Up at Holland-try the Kingscliff for a quiet drink .
- Lots of pubs for the alcholics. Fibbers, Lighthouse, Crab and Starfish.... Not really good for familys. Martello, where Butlins used to be. More family kind of place.
Kingscliff, Flamingo, Roaring Donkey, Tavern, Oakwood. These are Holland on sea.
- Went to clacton for the summer! Ha Ha Ha! There are some places that really need shutting down in this town. That tom peppers place, heaving with girls in school uniform.Thought it was one of those school nights but the barman said it was like that every night!! The DJ needs shooting playing party crap! Glad to get back to london and some decent dance music! Long live Johnnys in Croyden!!
- Tom Peppers! hahaha!!! normally quite busy in the summer holidays.. i wonder why!! Its alright if you like party crap all night. The girls are all easy.. ask the manager!! They take your phone no using crayons nicked from school.
- bllod and Gonnoreah you mark my words - stay away
- They said there was a pub in Clacton called Tom Peppers. I couldnt find it.
But I did find the OK corral on the sea front where they let you tie your horse up for a quid and then you can drink across the road in the Moon and Starfish!
- Tom Peppers!! hahahaha!!! need I say any more. Gone right down hill do the management know wot they are doin!!
- Tom"ecoli"Peppers
- Something to bear in mind; Tom Peppers is shit. At no point in your life did you sign a contract forcing you to wear Ben Shermans shirts, Cackley Jumpers and the really daring "FCUK" t shirts. But nonetheless you do, don't you. Trapped in Clacton with no intention of ever leaving. The only mental stimulus being "shall I have Fosters or Carling?” "Which pastel shade shirt shall I wear" or "where did my life go so very wrong?". My advice; leave while you can. Clacton is shit for the following reasons; the people. There are no exceptions to the rule. All Clactonians are wankers fueled by beer (piss weak) and the Essex gene (one which determines all ladies must have wonder bra enhanced breasts, fat thighs and a strange parrot like squawk, while all men must disply short hair, tiny penises and bizarre dancing skills). Still, if the other mindless sheep stay, you might as well . . .
- Tam Pappers, once the very bastion of cool and cutting egde has now been reduced to the status of whore peddling shit hole. Dribbling kids and bad-lager drinking loons prop up the bar every single night moodily churning the stale air with their coughs and sneezes (which, I am told, spread diseases). No longer do the vaguely interesting and interested go there. Vets, doctors, scientists, all manner of egg-headed fascinato-crats have been banished. Instead of intriguing stories of adventure, love, action and love, the patrons instead listen to tall tales of “How my Escort got its brain bumbling music system” or “What’s new in the world of call centres”. Oh my dear, fear for those who enter. One way or another they don’t come out unchanged . . .
- The only place worth visiting is 'The Moon & Starfish' along the seafront.
Theres nothing better than sitting outside, near the beach and drinking a cool beer.
- Tom Peppers is the best! Moon & Starfish if you want conversation and no music all night - rather like a social club without the oldies. Meet the scummers of Clacton in the Rocking Horse or go in the Lighthouse and get a glass in your face. Cockney Pride for every bank holiday Sunday (UK Dance) but strangely empty all other times?!?!?
- The best pub is "Crab and Pumpkin" on Jackson Rd. Also try the "Moon and Starfish" on the seafront.
- To add to the "growing list" of decents pubs we now have our very own Lighthouse pub whooo.
- Try the Plough in Gt.Clacton for some great real ales and see Tim.The Queens Head has a great carvery and its next door so Tims there too1 Across the road is the Ship which is friendly and super food. While in Clacton you could have a great meal at The Robin hood and a pint of Hancocks Bitter. Then onto Clacton Town FC to watch them thrash local rivals St.Johns and visit the Roaring Donkey where theres a great garden for the kids, super food and plenty of sport on their big screens.Pubs to avoid in Clacton are most of them-worst must be the Lifeboat House and the Carlton.Yoy get looked at for five minutes before getting served and then they call 'Time@. The Coach and Horses is the place for dodgy deals and the Queens Arm to listen to the best Karaoke singers in town. For cheap beer you'll have to try to be a member at the Railway Club or the Conservative Club but its hard.So settle for a trip out of town to CAMRA pub of the year-Cherry tree at Gt Oakley and White Hart at Weeley Heath.
- crab and pumpkin rocked right next door to the police staition ha ha
- The Crab and Pumpkin, by where the police station used to be, is quite good. Drinks are cheap, too. However, you have to be prepared for the occasional fights, as it's quite a rough place.
- Tom Peppers is the best pub ever - its so friendly and everyone likes it there! Bouncers look scarey but are really lovely guys. The decor is great - you can always spy something new on the wall! You'll nkow what I mean if you've ever been there!
- Tom Peppers is great!!!!! I've had many a fun evening spent there. The crowd is usually familiar which makes it great!
- All pubs are bad, but "Tom Peppers" is the worst. I'd rather not talk about it.
- latest in pub for the sheep!! is the light'ouse open, airy and full of tack!!
- "The Lord Henry Winkler" is a themed pub, themed on a Happy Days theme. It was opened by Cleatus Forrester, who plays Al in the series. He died son after. Friday night is Hula night. Saturdays is Fire night and Sunday afternoon it's shut.
- Robert Burre, Robin Hood, Ship, Queen's Head (all in Great Clacton)
- Pubs to go to are Tom Peppers, The Cockney Pride and The Kings Cliff.
