My gran was born in Whitehaven to Richard and Rebecca Biggs (nee Dobson)The Dobsons were born in Cleator I think. There were lots of children, all showing up on the 1901 census - Philip,Rebecca,Christena,,Rachel,George does anyone have any links to them? My name is Michael Cornish, I am an old Whitehaven boy and used to go to Overend School Hensingham, I now Live in Perth Western Australia, I went into a pub here recently called "The Liers Retreat" good name right in the middle of all of the car yards.
