Cinemas
- The Curzon! Brilliant local cinema - apparantly the oldest purpose built but still in use cinema in the UK (maybe even the world?!) I worked there as an usher and it's definitely worth supporting!
- Reppin the curzon bless it!!!
- The Curzon is ace. I diagree that the seats are crap.
- The Curzon - it's volunteer run, and the most friendly place I've been in
projection is brilliant, the comfortable seats are pale green, though,
avoid the others! Only £4 in the evenings, and matinees on Tuedays and
Thursdays are £3 including a drink and biscuits. Website is great, visit and
tour the building.
- The Curzon. something like a cross between sitting in your ganma oldest chair while trying not to inhale the dust while avoiding crumbling ceiling panels. AND has anyone else noticed that bearded guy who makes an appearance at the start of the move and proceeds to threaten to kick out those irritating townies that get into every movie??
- The Curzon has recently updated its sound system, improved their seating so your a**e does not go to sleep half way through, and do the best Cointreau-flavoured ice cream.
- The lovely Curzon Cinema is actually getting alot better now-good sound system, screeen and seats...go and have a look. It's nice that we have our own cinema!
- The Curzon's good. It's cheap, and shows the latest films - eventually. Go for the front seats or the ones with an aisle in front of them for the benefit of the extra legroom.
- the curzon is the oldest cinema in europe!!!! so there
- Curzon cimema and the nearly as bad curzon fm worth the comedy value of seeing chris hibbs try to dj :)
- I think they have replaced some of the chairs with ones from a real cinema, but you have to pay a bit more.
- One cinema - curzon, very old. Cheap if you don't mind itchy seats and rude staff, apart from that it's fine. (Iain Major is the onlt polite person there!)
- Curzon's. Very old, worth seeing inside. Seats very uncomfortable.
