- William's Childhood Home - from June 22nd 2004 you will be able to meet some of the Wordsworth Household, enjoy the sights and sounds of a working 18th Century kitchen, explore the newly restored garden where Dorothy and William Wordsworth used to play and hear about the gossip and goings-on of this Cumbrian market town in the 1770's. Wordsworth House will be open daily except Sunday from 11 4.30 pm.
