Pubs
- Mikeys is ok i spose but fletchers feels really local coz u seem to know everyone but i jst know everyone anyway coz cmouth is great
- Depends what you want. You're never gonna get underground hip hop or progressive house music popping up anywhere...but if you want a good cheesy night out, start off with the Brown Cow then go to Hunters, Arena and finish off with Outback.
- again loads but i cant remember the names
- loads dont know the names though
- the huntsman, christian tavern and more
- Mickey Finns and The Bitter End
- THE SHIP AT DOVENBY ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,SAY NO MORE..............
- the allerdale cool. the office for late nite drinking.
- highfield clubs closed down i live on highfield and it woznt th@ bad!!!!! i had my 10th and 14th bday party ther!!! the rest has been said
- The Brown Cow - Cockermouth Pub Of The Year
- the huntsman (known by locals as the cuntsman) has been done up and is now called hunters (cunters}.
- Back in the day, The Ship, The Globe, Brown Cow, Huntsman, Rizzo's, Sam's if you were lucky, Highfield club if you weren't. Now Black Bull, Brown Cow, Fletcher Christian's, Sam's, Micky Fynn's, and the legendary Hunstman morning after lunches have moved to the Kingfisher.
- The Globe hotel on Main Street is going to have a night club round the back later this year, this will be the place to pull and is always the best place to watch England games.
- hundreds. most very nice. the bitter end attracts an older crowd but boasts the smallest brewery in the country (or so i'm told). the fletcher christian is nice but very wooden inside. the black bull, mickey fynn's, the bush, the brow cow and the tythbarn are all lovely. it gets busy on fridays but it's all quite cheap. a great night out.
- Tithe Barn, for the only pub you won't get townies in. Or alternatively
Mickey Finn's (AKA Rizzo's) has always been neutral ground. It used to
be run by an ex-welsh Rugby League international. For the "FRESH FACED" :-)
crowd, try the globe.
