• my old secondary school TLA. and chav shops like JDs and Westwear. oh and mcdonalds.
• Town Hall.
• The Job Center, full of petty hitlers.
• Clacton Common
• All the ones down by Hythe Quay(the old ones of course)
• hippodrome

• a rough building containing the worst ever shop, ice, i uber townie place.

• can i just say that someone put the girls grammar school. maybe some people would like to see it flattened but at the same time people actually GO THERE (inc. me) so spare a thought for us as you choose not to flatten the royal grammar
• colchester united's playing ground,definatly in need of a new one
• All of Queen Street, Barrack Street, Essex Uni Towers, Greenstead's a dump and the people are as common as hell, Sixth Form Old Building and the North Site shed/classrooms (always smells!), St John's Walk (Wilkinson, Iceland, CBS, Blacks) cuz it's hideous and the car park smells like public toilets and the house near Londis in Wivenhoe on the way out to Colchester/Elmstead. It looks like they started doing it up, about 10 years ago, and got bored. Lowers the tone of Wivenhoe!

• The northern approach road and all the estates theyre cramming into that area. WTF is going on - must we all live hemmmed in like caged rats. Do the council seriously think this will improve things? What are their interests in building on every available patch of land and leaving no space anywhere?

• All the old buildings near the Rose and Crown hotel. Inc that Charles Brown place. They're disgusting & wonky walls!

• The Big Yellow Whorehouse (sorry Warehouse) near North Station. Forced on Colchester by faceless tossers in County Hall, Chelmsford against the wishes of local people (who no doubt got a cash rake off in return!). Please someone burn it down!
• JUMBO!!!!! It's a hideous monstrosity which permanently drips water and pigeon crap.
• The original green General Hospital building is horrid.
• Perhaps the Hippodrome. No wait, because that's where the Special Brew Crew live by day. It can never be destroyed.

• The entire Uni. It is a huge ugly maze, concentrated in a spot and destroying all the green, constantly under construction. Oh, and around it the air often smells of shit.
• The rest of the toilet blocks carelessly left standing after the last colony of travellers left the gypsy site on Haven Road.
• Al of thre right hand side of Queen St and St. Botolphs St. The Council should do us a favour, landscape it and open up the priory and capitalise on a Covent Garden type scheme....loads of music and arty farty stuff. Colchester needs some inner town GREEN SPACES!!!!!!!!!

• all the new precincts Colchester used to have more of an identity - instead of being melded into the usual chain store anonymity
• Greensted, not just one building, the hole estate!
• Not really a Demolish-it, just a Move-it, is the ex-YMCA now something else house on East Street/Bay. Doesn't fit in with anything and should be moved somewhere else.
• The Garrison simply HAS TO GO! Along with all of them down queen street, BT building, North Station could do with a spruce up - starting to show its age, Town station needs to be demolished & rebuilt, as does Hythe station. The council offices with the useless plebs inside!

• university tower blocks that always remind me of a view of post apocalypse london in a film i once saw as they rise out of the greenery surrounding the university
• To be honest, they're replanning the road scheme so often, it's hard to know what should be demolished and what should stay. St Marys Hospital (long time favourite if you're sleeping rough) is now due to be flattened and replaced with yet another retail outlet. St Marys used to be the Workhouse at one time and is rumoured to sit on top of a roman temple (no doubt they'll dig it up and find out). In general, the whole town is a bit messy - too many plans laid one on top of another and none making any real difference. They've speeded up bus access in some areas, but by and large it's a congested mess most of the day.
• Essex University. A prime example of everything bad about 60's architecture!
• Is the bus station car park still there?
• The Girls' Grammar School
• The shoe shop in Queens Street, used to be Keddies, looked out of place since the seventies taste for blandness and the use of cheap materials passed.
• Watched with glee as they demolished the old bus station car park from my bedroom window when I was revising my A Levels 4 years ago-ish. So, since that's gone - how about Burnabrette (spelt?) It's the place where the council house all the poor kids who've got nowhere else to go. I had mates who had to stay there and they say it should be blown into orbit.
• Essex Uni Towers.
• anything with a NCP badge on it
• Queen street is a dump and a tourist funnel to the park, a great shame cause the park is great
• BT building West Stockwell Street
• the new Asda supermarket (it looks like an aircraft hanger) and the old shoe shop on Queen Street looks dreadful (square 60s building in a primarily narrow 1900s street)
• The Garrison
• Main Campus buildings of the University- apparently modeled on an Italian hill village, but actually looks like the god of Readymix vomited sometime in the sixties.
• Telecom Offices and old exchange on West Stockwell Street - tower of greyness. Absolutely abominable, spoils the skyline when viewing Colchester from the North.
