  • theres a pretty cool skatepark by leisure world, just opposite it. tends to be dominated by chavs that dont have anything else better to do than rip the mick into people that can skate..but is a samrt place to go. also, i know its not in colchester but marks tey has a cool skate park as well.
  • The square, Shrub End. Place where all the drugs use to be traded!
  • best place- the factory in the cowdray center!!
  • The little area near boots, red lion walk etc. theres stairs and benches there and its fun to watch everyone fall off :)
  • I think people have placed a little ramp in castle park for all the skaters out there, its not anything big but its something to do and fun watching the younger skaters attempt to skate down the hill and off the ramp, that's afternoon entertainment.
  • Some sweet spots around boots.
  • leisure world skate park, its not the best, but its better than nothing. also, castle park is good for boarding in, just beward of the nuts that fall from the trees in autumn, if you hit one of those your board stops, unfortunately you don't....
  • colchesters crap for skateboardin onli got the lil skate park nxt to mcy ds the brightlingsea 1 its great!!
  • Apparentley the car park behind Rollerworld is good!
  • If youn want somewhere to skate try the new development in Wivenhoe, a town near to colchester, 20 mins on the bus (no 78). Its on the way to Brightlingsea which has a skatepark too. Pretty cool really
  • There is a 4 set round the corner of leisure world and then if you carry on backwards from there you will come accross a steep ass bank which you can ollie over, but hard to ollie in. There is the undercover 5 set at the bottom of north hill (fairfax house) which is mostly ok, especially on sundays. If asked to leave, leave, don't be a mouthy shit. There is Royal London which is a 3 set and a flat bank. Cowdray with a few drops. Any undercover loading bay, you will get kicked out of! full stop. There is Anglian Water near Matalan, you can only skate here on weekends. If you go on weekdays, fines are in place! There is a 5ft high eight set here and some steep banks. There is another set, a seven. That is the CBS set, next to Wilkinson, go when it's closed. The park is opposite leisure world and next door to Maccy D's. It's pretty crap, but alright for a local sesh. Metal. Launch ramp, pryamid, curved low square rail, steep transistioned 4ft quarter, kinked round rail, 5ft steep mini, manuel pad with rail on edge and rail on one side, 6ft roll in leading to a driveway with a double round rail with a hip and then straight on from the driveway a 6ft high quarter. More work is to be done to the park. There is at least 8 or 9 other parks within a 30 mile radius of Colchester.
  • Near colchester is Brightlingsea with a skatepark with a vert etc and a dirt BMX track
  • There's the skate park, which is good, but keeps getting invaded by those after a fight. IN general noy so good
  • Loading Bays - only problem being you got covered in grot from all the trucks. the rails down by Wilco were only for the truly hardcore. Always stairs to do little flips from by Boots. Colchester's pretty damn skateable actually...
  • castle park, with benches, band stand and stairs
  • wivenhoe ship yard old warhouse with jumps wot people have made or out side wivenhoe trian station
  • Well some people think that the leisure world skatepark is gd but they are seriously misguided. The park woz originally designed by people who knew wot they were doing but the council idiots changed it and now there are no decent lines at all. Plus on hot days you can't skate anything coz if you fall off you'll burn ur arse off. Its a metal park. The grindbox is pretty good and the S-Ramp is damn challenging! But the rails r too low and there's talk that they mite be closing it down neway. If ur more into street skating neway then u could try down by boots. There r sum steps which is quite fun to kickflip over and there are rails too. just skate around the little backroads and carparks, ur bound to find sumthing!
  • A new but small skatepark is now open down by the drive through McDee's! Next to the Leisure world! Include's:- Ramps, Rails, Fly by's, Grind box, Quarter Pipe and a few other dope thing's!(Watch out for kids on bike's! they tend to get in the way a bit!)
  • Hoax is a great shop run by really friendly people
  • Clacton Pier - he he he.
  • Safety modified skateboard rig at the Rec. Small but better than nothing
  • Lots of street spots. Precinct at Boots = steps and slidy blocks. Loading bay underneath precinct = grindy curbs and drops. Sports centre = drops, steps, manual roll curb and grindy curb. Try new Tesco's car park in the Hythe, near University of Essex.
  • The police and security guards are kinda hardcore nazi types, so it's best to stay out of Colchester town central.
  • There's a great spiral ramp in the multi story goes down seven levels in a big car park stylee. Loads of big curbs. Grind tastic...
