• The Swan isn't a "Sizzler" anymore. Your food comes on a plate when you go and collect it, coz it's now a carvery. Have been a few times and the food is generally OK. my first meal at 6pm on the first Friday night was rubbish. Hardly any Gammon left, no Chicken for the rest of the week and you needed to be a Samurai to cut the beef. Since then the food has been good (they were lucky I gave them a second chance the following Monday).And the current pricing (probably short term offer) is amazingly cheap. B46 is now re-open as a Bistro (late night, candle lit etc) looks good from the High st but I haven't tried it. Yet!
• Visit the Bell Inn just to watch the antics of the doormen and when it does kick off check John Rodgers he will be the skinhead skeleton hiding behind the beefy bouncers

• has to be the coach that tops it but if it don't take your fancy not to worry a ten second stagger in any direction finds u at a heterosexual pub. before u leave tho chek out Gareth he could be on either side of the bar.

• Loads of pubs with varying atmospheres. Nowhere really lively until the weekend when they fill up quite nicely. Basically your quiet night out during the week.
• there is only one true pub, da coach hotel, the green man is ok but the brew is not as good in there!
• In order, from the bottom to the top:- The Norton Arms, Harvester Wheatsheaf, The Bell, The Green Man, The Swan, The Coach and Horses, The Coleshill Hotel, The Pepper Mill, previously the "infamous" Red Lion, The George and Dragon. Not bad for a town of 6500 people, shame they fall into two categories: Shitholes and God's waiting room.
