• Just like to let you know Marc Denman has now been pro for around a year and a half he has spent his first year with Fulham reserves and has just returned from a 6 month loan with DC United as part of a scheme called 'America+' were he has gained valuable experiance hoping to break into the Filham first team. also watch out for a young lad aged 17 called Freddy Adu about to enter the English game from DC United....

• Trevor (Trev) Pearson. My husband. Lived on Ellershaw Lane 1954 to 1975. Joined the RAF 1975. Killed in action in Iraq 2003 aged 48. Too old for war, but he went anyway. Not allowed to tell you what he did, too secret. But many lived because of him. RIP xxxx Gina
• Ben Scott and Chris Glarvey used to go to northcliffe school but now both play 4 Sheffield united under 21's or reserves.
• let me just say, andrew denman isnt talked about in conisbrough, and doesnt play for blackburn rovers, he had a trial and failed!! i am a friend of his and know what happened VERY well!! in fact, nobody talks about the denman brothers. Tony Christie lived in conisbrough, but sold his house to the landlord of lord conyers hotel. Tony Christies brother is a history teacher at Northcliffe School

• Don't forget Steven Pratt who, as a 9 year old schoolboy, in 1959 took a picture of UFO's over Conisbrough Craggs. He made the National News at the time and his picture is still published in specialist journals. He now lives in Mexborough but has changed his name because of the publicity.

• Can I Just say, every Friday I've been out now for the last 2 to 3 months, all I ever hear Is, Andy Denman this, Andy Denman that, YES!, he's a very good footballer with the world at his feet, but what about his younger brother.....MARK!!. He's still only 15/16 years old, and yet there's not much better at his age. So can I Just say this, In 10 years time, forget the De Boer brothers, forget the Laudrup brothers, Infact, forget Owen and Heskey, the future of English football has already paved way for the Denman brothers.
• The Two biggest celebritys from Conisbrough are Tony Battersby who plays Pro Football with Lincoln City, and Andy Denman who plays Pro Football with Blackburn Rovers.........(JEALOUS!!!!!!!!)
• Tony Christie's dad lived on Drake Head Lane ( TC is a famous 70's singer) Lots of musicians, dispersed as far and wide as US, QEII cruise liner and West End musicals King Offa of Mercia died there.
