Best days of your lives (so far) by looking4luv (Member 10201340) on 27-Jan-2011
Although Ive been on this world for such a brief period of time, for me there some moments that were special.
Seeing my kids being born, (i will never forget).
Being in Rome in 1977 when Liverpool won the cup.
The summer of 76.

You maybe correct BIP but truth be known state 51 will not bother their backside, they will remove offending items. But as for anything else the proof is in the pudding look what has happened to this and other boards.

Good news Den. What happened to all your old vinyls?
Do you know, by the way, anything about an allied bomber that crashed somewhere around the Works and also a bomb that was found on the railway tracks, during the war? A couple of items that have come to our attention and who better to ask, than Corby's foremost historian?

The plane was a Dornia, and it crashed not far from where the Hilton hotel is now. My uncle Killie used to have part of the plane, a panel with a finger hole in it. you put your finger in and presses a button and a door opened.
When they dug the bodies up from Weldon church yard, and repatriated them Killie sent the panel back with the bodies.

Why bother responding to posters who pretend to live in the area.
They talk about Corby as if they know our town.
As normal they get it wrong, these soft shites dont even bother doing a little bit of home work.
Twats from all over the world post on our board because they get a response, Ive said it a number of times and will repeat it again ignore them and eventually they will go away.

  • Re: Do we really want this. by Spider (Member 10237550) on 23-Jan-2011
I agree IMM the fact is with today's technology there is no need to have lighting for a CCTV to pick up people where they should not be. Most modern security camera's work very well in low light and virtual invisible infra red helps. Added to that CCTV camera's are capable of picking up individuals that trigger an alarm back at the control station.

To be fair only 1 in 8 of those who receive housing benefit are unemployed.
I believe landlords who rent out affordable homes should have the housing benefit capped at £500/ month. Yes and if a family is living in a house where the housing benefit is £100k they should move to a more affordable home.

  • Re: Is this really fair on the rest of us. by looking4luv (Member 10201340) on 18-Jan-2011
Richie.. Its happened already Westminster Chelsea etc you will not find a relatively poor area. A few years ago I worked in central London, staying a stones throw from St Pauls. Very few people lived in the area full time.
There is no affordable housing in central London.

Its ironic Corby Council and its partners had a plan for X amount of new houses in the borough by 2020, Oakely vale and Priors haw being the main areas. This government pulls the grants effectivly putting a hold on new house builds on the scale Corby needs, and then complains about the shortage of affordable housing.
