Hi, I'm from Perth, Western Australia, and I had a friend named Martyn Bruce, who lived at 11 Reedpool Close in Countesthorpe. I am wondering if anyone knows of his whereabouts as I would like to see how he and his family are going. His mum's name is Pam, and his dad lived in Essex. Can anyone help me, providing that he wants to be contacted...thank you heaps...carissa

The Heathcotes and Warburtons by Daphne Field (Member 10128716) on 22-Jul-2004
I would like to meet my relatives. I currently live in Canada and am working on a family tree. My paternal grandfather was Albert George Heathcote who was born in Countesthorpe on July 12, 1872. He was the son of Joseph and Catherine (nee Warburton).

I would be pleased to hear from anyone who has descended from the family.

Whatever your needs if you visit http://www.ring4free.info you can apply for a free no obligation information pack. looking for somewhere to stay for 5 or 6 months by Wyatt (Member 10087388) on 13-Jan-2003
I'll be travelling through England shortly, and will be in the Leicester/Countesthorpe quadrant. Does anybody know of a good farm-stay, homestay, or flat that I can rent reasonably cheap for such a long stay? If a farm stay, I can work in exchange for my room (I grew up on a farm, old hat to me). Thanks Much!

Do you have a local historian in Countesthorpe who knows of the areas origins, prominant families from the past etc? I would be grateful if someone could put me in touch with them.
