Clubs (Dance Music) and Music Bars Bookmark and Share

  • Liquid & Envy - people give it a good sl*gging off, but compare it to the alternatives and you'll appreciate it. They have 3 separate floors, all with different themes - Retro 80's & 90's, current club / dance & R&B / Hip Hop. Friday's are for the 'younger generation' but Saturday night are full of the usual age groups!
  • Instead of happy hour, or free drinks, maybe the clubs in the town centre could hire stab vests and personal attack alarms (not that anyone would pay any attention) for use by customers while out in the City Center at night, lots of stabbings rapes etc. I suggest travel in large numbers at night around the town, especially females!
  • Busters night club!!!!
  • People from Coventry might get tired of local clubs but its the people rather than the places you get tired of- there's a decent number of clubs nowadays, though quite spread out. Ignite and Lava (formerly Ikon and Diva) in the Skydome is the biggest venue, a big bowl with a central dancefloor and playing commercial dance (but very loud and not particularly cheesy); it is also the only place with podium dancers in Cov! Lava downstairs, over 21s only, is more a disco dancefloor. Often up to £10 on the weekends to get in, though. Jumpin Jaks next door is a cowboy saloon theme place, another chain, but a good enough laugh if you like your music a little bit cheesier. They have performers etc on stage through the night. The surrounding area, Spon Street and Skydome, has enough bars to make a whole night viable. One other place to note is MBargo, which is a Skydome bar that attracts a lot of big name DJs such as Lisa Lashes and is a small but good venue. The other 'serious' dance club in Coventry is Careys, playing mostly funky house with Saturday the main night....quite a strict door code on account of the 400 capacity, but its a nice enough place, just up from the Skydome. There are a few other clubs dotted around the city centre. Demand is in Tower St by the Royal Mail offices, looks very stark and on its own but surprisingly okay inside, quite good for pulling too! Scholars has been mentioned; this is more the indie end of things, its a small one-room club with VERY cheap drinks on Far Gosford Street, past the university. Other known indie hangouts that are commonly known (not so much my thing) are the Dog and Trumpet pub downstairs in Hertford Place which has recently (2007) been renovated, and Kasbah... Kasbah is the Colusseum rebranded, in Primrose Hill Street (very short taxi ride from town), and has been smartened up a bit. Think a small version of the Carling Academies is the best way to describe it. Has regular student and indie nights, but also some dance stuff and many bands (indie and dance alike) in the west wing bar.
  • The Phoenix is the best rock / alt club, and plays for everyone esp on a Friday! Godiva Award winning club in 2007 and is still packed. Don't settle for 2nd best with all the kids at the Dog, the dj's are fake (all copied cd's) and my mp3 is louder! Oh and the beer is like water, yuk! Cheap and nasty club!!!!! Avoid! If Phoenix is full, check out Golden Cross or Colly. Always good nights too.
  • The 'Dog and Trumpet' has run a decent indie/alternative rock disco since times immemorial. The music will, obviously reflect the times (Predominantly 'Emo' as I write this), but they do try to cater for requests. And there is no trouble! The Colly/Kasbah is a good place to go on Saturday's. More indie than harder rock, this venue is friendly and trouble-free. For the dance enthusiast that wants to move to repetitive beats without being wary of small gangs of shirted, Rockport'd up thugs glaring at them from the shadows, 'Traffic' is the place to go on Saturdays. Based upstairs at Carey's (Itself not a bad over-21 venue), 'Traffic' attracts decent DJ's and a friendly crowd that actually want to have a good time. The nearest thing that Cov has to the old 'rave' vibe.
  • again newtz is good. owned by the same person as the tudor rose, but run differentl (drinks are way cheaper for a start). more a student hangout or a chill spot than for the townies i would say. good djs though. they will play pretty much whatever you want in either the tudor or newtz as well which is always good.
  • Coco's
  • The most Popular Rock Club in Coventry on Friday nights is The Dog and Trumpet. The music is always great and you meet some right characters in there and Steve the boss is a legend The Cross aint a bad venue for live bands but for more alternative bands check out the Jailhouse. The Colloseum is pretty good too. The Pheonix can be ok but it's full of idiot emo poseurs and the DJ only plays what he wants to play (which is usually generic pop emo crap).
  • Colly on a Sat 4 a bit of indie rock is cool and cheap. Lava/Ignite @ the Skydome 4 dance and pop!
  • JAILHOUSE, THE DOG AND TRUMPET, THE CROSS, !RAINBOWS!
  • Best places in Cov are Dog and Trumpet Fridays which is easily the best rock club. Campbell is cool on a Wednesday as you don't get all the Friday night posers there. The Jailhouse and Colly are the best live music places, the Colly is also great on Mondays where it's 50p a drink.
  • dog and trumpet nuff said. however be prepared to mosh. firiday night £1 b4 10 and a lot of f***in good music. form the popular forms of rock all the way up and through the undergroung goth metal industry.
  • as a cov kid now living in Barcelona , spain. i can honestly say that england , not just cov , needs to stop living in the dark ages and let bars open as late as they wish. There´s so much less aggro here than i witness and have been involved in when i am back home. Divas is my favourite club and the red horse is my local
  • the cross and the cambell.
  • colli ICON newtz
  • The best Alternative club is the Dog and Trumpet every Friday. Playing a good mix of everything from metal/punk/grunge/emo/ska and then a load of rave/80 tunes at the end of the night.Really cool atmosphere and friendly people.
  • Scholars nightclub is the only place to be on a weekend, it gets busy, so get there about 11. the door staff are fair, the management are lovely, the girls are sexy, the guys make an effort (for Cov guys) and the bar staff are not only friendly and efficient, but probably the best looking in Cov! Chicago Rock is good for people who show off on the dancefloor! Coventry people aren't the type who dance before 12 pints, and the dancefloor is small, so you don't look like a lonely fool!
  • Saucered @ Garduates doing some of the best Techno beats ive heard in bloody ages! Though there last gig was in the West Indian and that was better.
  • Overs 25's and people who work for a living try Earlsdon Gallery for a few warm up beers, normally great scenery! Chicago's at sky dome is best option for grown up's! June05
  • The Colly! What a great place. Dirty n cheap. A recipe for a night of carnage!
  • malt shovel in spon end
  • The new Skydome complex in town
  • Careys (Shite)
  • erm colloseum is a good club, not really for outsiders though, probably get ur head kicked in. ikon n diva are good 4 nite life, altho agen ur likely to get ur head kicked in. if ur looking for a friendly place to go, try rainbows just outside the city centre, ull love it. ha ha
  • colli on thurs is good rock music.monday nights is chart but 50p a drink at least (students only)
  • the best ive come across is the COLLOSEUM, has loads of different nights to suit everyone, ranging from indie,Rock, Dance, CheesyChart, Heavy, Pop etc. The Cambell(now PHOENIX) is a quality pub for students.
  • Colly and the D&T
  • Fivemonkeys brings you 'gruve'. Every saturday night from 8pm til late, live dj's mark corbett & rich lakin play the finest funky house and chicago house in coventry, fivemonkeys (the old corks) can be found on whitefriars st opposite the phoenix(the old campbell). free entry, and good beer proces. come and get your gruve on!! www.gruve.co.uk email:move@gruve.co.uk
  • colleseum is really good, but has a bad reputation for its sweaty floors and trampy toilets, but, if your half decent you take notice of this and have a fun night with the best atmosphere and most friendly people you could ever hope to meet! the music is good!
  • Ikon iz da best 4 all da ickle ppl under 18 lol(wait.....im under 18 *sob sob*)
  • many people put the colloseum in coventry but i bet all of them hav had one good night there. It is abit of a dive and very very very sweaty, and if you are lucky you get to see a fair few chavettes on a friday nite!cheesy pop is fun when you are drunk on a friday and thursday and saturday nites there r cool!50p drinks on a monday!!!i have stared at the collisium as a mime and a ghostbuster so keep a look out!
  • Cov is great for clubbin if your with a group of mates. the COLLY is the best club in cov. it has 3 rooms each playin different types of music and there is no trouble. i wouldnt advise jumping jaks. its a barn yard.
  • the colly,ikon,jax...all good laugh but colly is a sweatfest with no air con!
  • the dog
  • Graduates now has a hardcore night on certain saturdays which is pretty cool, especially if you're tired of all the poppy dance rubbish the other places play.
  • The phoenix (its the campbell FCukers) is prety good on a wednesday and its a measley £1 a drink. Dare i say the colloseum can be a good excuse for a club once in a while, shame the management are assholes.!! you knows it.
  • Quench -Gibet hill road anywhere you dont get the usual scum of cov going in because they think there "hard"
  • ok clubs in cov where to start, well first of all if u want to have a proper night out dont go to cov, go to lem they kno wot clubs r. the best cov can offer is the colly, ikon, jumpin jacks colly is a shit whole but people there are generaly nice and u can have a gd time tho warning to all girls if u go colly u will get sum guy thinin he is a sex god try and pull u as well as this colly seems to have turned into a childrens area. :( ikno shitty house music towny hang out again a few underaged here jumpin jacks snobby place but in general if u go with right ppl and nuf money u can have a gd time P.S best pre-club pub in town is litten tree
  • collisseum - okay club, its good to start going when your about 14, then wehn 18-21, move onto ikon
  • Coventrys not a bad night out! if ur on the pull go to jacks loads of fit slu*s in short denim skirts, if u want a rowdy night start off in yates and finish up in ikon no doubt ull be fighting, full of knobs
  • icon on friday night £13 drink to your belly burst
  • Coventry do have some decent clubs. I prefer Ikon and Colly myself. They have a variety of music. Jumpin Jaks has too many older people in it, and ive not heard good things about anywhere else. I went to Bar Zest once, and someone was shot - its too hot in there anyway. Mirage on Stoney Stanton Road is good though. Fit door man there!! If ever anyone goes to Chicago Rocks, go early so you dont have to pay to get in!!!!It's not bad there - i go a lot.
  • The Colliseum
  • colly is wikkid on a thurs but i tend to go on sat as well tho not as gud. The dog is a good laugh ona fri tho u sweat so much n turn into the most un attractive person in the world. n the cambell well steve works there so nuf sed
  • Jacks no question if you like cheesy if under 18 the colly lets anybody in
  • Ikon/Diva is good. Jumpin Jaks has live singers and cool stage games that usually involve an attractive girl removing clothing.
  • Planet. My Gee's. Lloyds pub, lol. Erm hang on the planet has changed its name again! Gawd! Forgot its name but its still there in the same place hehe. Colly down hillfields tis ok too. Full of students but ok.
  • Golden Cross, indie and sixties fri, rockier on a sat. more important...FREE and on till 2.oo
  • coli and dog :) rule so nur nur nur nur nur
  • Bring back the ECLIPSE,thats what i say,cov clubs lost the plot after the eclipse/edge.A new night is opening up there on 20th sept, its all about hardhouse..i may go to mr.promoter and ask him REALLY nicely if he could do a few 'old skool specials'for a flashback of the golden years. The here bars started to be a happening place .more progressive house nights in coventry wouldnt go a miss either.if only i could get a night up n running in the city,my motto would be NO TOWNIES!
  • Warwick Uni Students Union isn't that bad. They've got a really good event happening this summer on Saturdays. It's called "Pure". Have seen the guy who's running it DJ before, and he's sound.
  • The hotest new club night has to be Headz up at HERE in the canal basin a wicked little venue clean and smart the night has started bringing the best talent the uk has to offer to Coventry and each time ive been it's had a real good atmosphere. Situated just out of the centre has made for a cool crowd, if you know what i mean.
  • The campbel is good if the cocks of bouncers dont decide that they are not gonna let you in!they are very selective of who they let in an they don't hav a good perseption of age!!! so if they decide they don't like what you are wearing then the sad little men will not let you in!espcially the one with the dog ear hat!arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
  • The Collesseum is a bag of wank unless you're under 16. The Dog and Trumpet and The Phoenix on Wednesday and Monday nights are cool.
  • the colin campbell on a wednesday, colloseum on a thursday and the dog on a friday for alternates. schollars for indie lovers. varsity and the colloseum on a friday night for townies. zest for hiphop and r'n'b. jumpin jacks for a good laugh. and ikon for sad, lonely people
  • the campbell on a wednesday is very good and so is the colloseum on a thursday night but the best would be the dog on a friday night. avoid platform 5 like the plague
  • The colly is the best place in town for young people.
  • Ikon is full of kids. Better bet is Diva or my personal choice is The Campbell. Open till 2 every day and cheap booze if you've got a yellow card. The "Dive" used to be legendary now they've turned into some ridiculous cocktail bar and had an expensive "refit" which explains why it looks exactly the same as it used to.
  • The only place worth a mention for a decent night out dancing is the West Indian Centre opposite the Skydome, when BOSH are there you can expect a good all nighter rave (they won't let in the Ben Sherman posse), apart from that you could try Train station whichs opens at 8 a.m for that 'last few hours of ravin'.
  • the collesium is a well good laugh and cheap and if u like cool music they play alot of it!just stay clear on a friday!oh the campell on a wednesday nights is a top night !!t
  • The coolest clubs in cov are platform 5 and the colly. And the colly on a monday is open till 2am and is the cheapest place in town at 50p a drink! Needless to say it does get overrun by students but its worth it!
  • The Golden Cross on a thursday night...can't beat it, especially the DJ with his arse out. Danger Danger High Voltage... always after a few at the Flying Standard of course!!
  • divas
  • Mr. G's. Monday night, saved up your 50p drinks vouchers for weeks, you step inside and realise it's a 2am youth club. But it's ok, you're only 15 anyway. And every girl in there was easy, especially when you had loads of 50p drinks vouchers. Most people I know who went there, graduated to the Colosseum by the age of 16 though, where in 2 years everyone felt too old and started complainin about the "fucking kids" in their "Fred Durst" clothes. When in actuality you probably chucked yours out the week before and in a few pints time, the "fucking kids" will probably turn into "fine honeys who are also legal". Beloved Coventry.
  • collys full of wannabes, dogs boring, p5s dead and boring. dont bother with cov go birmingham or elsewhere
  • we have a great club area called skydome there is where you will find all the locals and has music every nite of the week in one of the four nightclubs and it also has three bars and the local cimena it houses jumping jaks and ikon and divas and chicago rock
  • Colloseum was good in it's day, millenium was pony.
  • The Colloseum is best, all kinds of music catered for in cool surroundings. Also Dog and Trumpet for rock and heavier music - small but very good.
  • The clubs in Coventry are shit. Best going to Birmingham
  • The collesseum. Guarunteed a good night out expecially on thursday and saturday. Its alternative but your not going to die in a mosh pit, and live bands play. Jumpin jaks is quite expensive but good for an occassional night out with live and cheesy music. NEVER GO TO IKON OR DIVA, its ridiculously expensive and the bouncers would rather spit on you than talk to you!
  • if you like rock, punk, ska or ne thing like dat then go to the dog and trumpet or P5 (not disclosing the location coz we would usually get loads of trouble from townies, ask ne goths.ect at the statue for more info)
  • Careys is the place in Coventry, if you are looking for a good crowd and great music - Nominated "Midlands Club of the Year 2000"
  • cov is split in 2 havles the townies and the rockers! the townies go to the skydome e.g jumping jaks- cheesy music, DJ'S who have to keep talking and doing competitions so u can't dance, expensive drinks i bought 3 bottles for £10.50!, full of either v old men or v young girls! ikon- gud dance music but just full of townies trying their best to look hard and expensive drinks. Chicargo rock- good food but gets v packed at night and only a tiny dance floor! the rockers go to other end of town e.g cambell- good food and drink but can get v packed, plays a range of music! colly- friday nights have started to turn into v. young townie nite, but thurs and sat r still gud, cheap bottles don't get the pints tho, 50p a drink on mon, little bit scummy but good atmosphere and nice people! thens there's rainbows gay club, diva for over 25's, release - dodggy and u mite get shot and zest for white people who think they're black! cov's not that nice but i love it!
  • Well Rainbows is a great place for some real intense serious ass fucking. OR maybe even Ikon if your a TRUE gangstar.
  • Alternative: The dog and trumpet ( Saturday ) Platform 5 Friday
  • Scholars'- Far Gosford Street. 80's, 90's and beyond.
  • The Colosseum is fantastic!
  • The Eclipse was good, but when it went from the Edge to the Planet what a disater. The old Covenrty Students Union was the BEST.
  • THE COLLESIUM
  • Oh Mr Gs... a student's heaven! where else could you get 3 4 1 on Mondays & 70p a drink on Wednesdays. Why they knocked it down I'll never know, I still sob at night. You would come out of a pub at about 10.30pm and see people dressed up to the nines all heading in the same direction like we had all heard 'THE CALLING'. Mr G was calling his faithful party people to another drink fueled 4 hours of memory loss and pulling slappers (well trying). Rest in Peace Mr G. PS If anyone knows what they did with the Mr Gs sign my mate wants it.
  • The Colleseum has a good mix of townies and freaks and has good(ish) live bands. The Dog and Trumpet is the best place to go if you like Old,Bald DJ's and underage Goths are your thang. The Campbell is ok on Wednesdays and the DJ looks like Fatboy Slim but it can get REALLY overcrowded and hot at times. The West indian club is the place to go for your Drum and Bass, or if you like the sweet smell of mary jane! Ikon is good for taking the piss outta drunk townies.
  • Coventry, to be completely honest is one of the worst places i know of as regards to clubs. There's Ikon (always packed), Colleseum (dodgey), Diva (asian), Jumpin' Jacks (OAP's) and Fatty Arbuckles (small) to really speak of. It's more of a collection of pubs and bars than anything else, and if you like those then you'll be fine.
  • the colosseum on a monday, thurs and saturday. the dog and trumpet on a friday and saturday. the campbell on a wednesday.
  • PINK PARROT....LOLOLOLOL
  • Saucered for Techno & Mentasm for hard house at Phat Larry's
  • D&T, although now full of Nu-metallers, not, I repeat NOT, goths.
  • They all bite.
  • VIRUS...MMMM RATHER IRISH 2000 LOL SHIT HOLE AVOID LIKE THE CLAP !!!
  • Try the upstairs room at the Golden Cross Inn near the Cathedral. Very small and cheesy but we've had some great laughs up there. If you can brave no air-conditioning in a club, Scholars is usually convenient and a laugh.
  • The Irish Centre is a good laugh. Hairy women and medallion men, but decent music and no kids. Somehow it all makes sense after a few beers.
  • The colly is the best for a cheep night out, the planets cool but you have to be a student, dont go near fattys or genisis with a barge pole , jumping jacks is a wicked place for cheezy music but their is a wide mizture of ages- only a good place to go for a laugh, and Ikon for club music
  • Hi the colosseum has a new nite on sats called frequency. Past guests have included Bentley Rhythm Ace,Utah Saints,Mint Royale,Ez Rollers,Mani,Future hopes 2 see Grooverider,Mr C, & many more.Resident Jonny Mac frequency_colosseum@hotmail.com
  • the council house
  • Campbell, Colosseum, Dog
  • Careys - re-opening with some decent DJs - looking at their flyer it reckons Matt Hardwick, Lange, Rob Tissera, Flickman etc... could be worth checking out, better than the rest of the cheesy shite in Cov anyway
  • Cant beat the Colosseum for a "lively" atmosphere on a saturday night.
  • The Colin Cambell. Many a drunken goth and student found looking very stange..filed down teeth!!!
  • There's one decent night at Scholars per month (Revive), other than that, try the Colosseum on Thursdays (but not if music with guitars and singing freaks you out). The Skydome isn't bad either
  • If you're a female, and you wish to be approached by some of the dodgiest (but nicest) men of Coventry, the Dog and Trumpet on a Friday night is highly recommended!
  • Colloseum is good with fairly relaxed door policy and lots of variety. Scholars is rubbish but go if you like being squashed up against smelly ugly people all night.
  • Fatty Arbuckles in Stoney Stanton Rd is good for a laugh but the only decent club at the moment is the Skydome. Others to try out are Mr G's, Natural Born Clubbers, The Planet, The Foundry, Scholars and if you are willing to drive, Birmingham's just up the road.
  • The Colleseum is the cheapest but not neccessarily the best!
  • coventry has just got a much needed new entertainment centre "SKY DOME" which has 2 great clubs ikon and diva non of which are full of "youthfull" looking patron but have a great atmosphere/good(looking)door man and has made it feel save to go out in coventry and at last somewhere not full of students but people who work for a living!
  • New Clubs, Icon and Diva in the new SKYDOME complex - also includes Jumping Jacks live entertainment bar, Odean Cinema and New Orleans eating place. All new and good fun
  • Park Lane, Memory lane. Henley College Student Party Nights, any one rember them ?
  • coluseum is the place to go to get away from townes, its also a good place to chill out
  • Oh dear. Looking for a fun night out in Coventry? I wouldnt start from here.... If you like getting drunk and fighting, then most clubs in Coventry are for you, the only excetptions being the places that have student nights - for example, Scholars on a Friday night during term time is very good - Students get in free before 10 O'clock, so by the time the natives spill out of the pobs most of them suspect Scholars will already be packed with Students so dont bother going. Poeple that used to be students in Covenrty know it never really packs out until well after 11 so all pile down there to avoid the natives. The Colloseum is good most nights, with everything from thumping house to indie and rock covered at some point. The planet is also good, but is far easier to get into if you are a student. The rest of it is a bit dire - better off going to Birmingham, or even Nuneaton as Millenium and Liberties are very good indeed. Avoid Mr G's, unless watching people getting the shite kicked out of them, being followed around by the ugliest women (or most inbred neanderthal looking blokes it will ever be your misfortune to come across outside of Wales) or being chatted up by people who have come out after finishing their homework is your cup of tea.
  • Fattys and Planet
  • Careys Club on a friday is really good you can a a right laugh! The music is chart and 70's and it's great. The age group is mixed but you dont notice cause your having such a good time
  • They've started a new club night at Warwick Uni (South Coventry) called Quench, which is excellent - I'd recommend checking it out. Just when you'd lost all faith in Coventry clubs, Quench saves the day! They's got a website at www.quench.org which gives the dates - unfortunately only during uni term time.
  • The Irish Centre, just off Spon Street is fine on a Friday Night, if you like your women with moustaches. However, the music is excellent and the staff freindly.
  • Colusseum on a Thursday is a very good night out, except for those who quite haven't made it to 18. Planet, owned by Cov Uni has one good Saturday night a month - Luvbug - 70s night.
  • G Club, The Dog and Trumpet, Browns. Chatterways in Grey Friars Green or Craisy Daisy's on the A45 at Ryton on a Friday or Saturday
  • Nightlife pretty crap: The Colosseum is the only decent club (esp. Klass, Saturday nights).
  • Fatty Arbuckles night club is above average and has a good door policy that keeps trouble makers and 16 year olds out.
  • The Dog and Trumpet is the BEST club in Coventry!
  • Theres a new club on now called "The Planet" definitely a top club. It's owned by Coventry University and it's where the old "Edge" use to be. Four floors of the latest dance soul everything you want in a club. The sound from the place is spot on this has got to rival even the best of clubs in the Midlands. Christmas time they had the likes of "Tony Devit" for the DJ.
  • Coventry is trying to get some more decent nightclubs. The Planet, which is Coventry University student union, is a good place to go as is The Foundry. Both have guest dj's including the likes of Boy George. Alternatively for a cheap night out if you don't mind getting squashed Scholars on Far Gosford Street is always good for a laugh. Do not go to The New Phoenix or Yate's because they are really crap full of thiry somethings on the pull.
  • Golden Cross - Student pub open till 1am. Silver Sword (Trinity street) - Full of sixteen year olds and Old slappers Three Tuns (The bullyard) - Full of sixteen year olds Release (Cross cheaping) - Where a bullet proof vest!
  • Planet, and the SU (for both cov and warwick uni's)
  • Over The Rainbow. Tiny dance floor above Rainbows gay pub.
  • INDIE/ROCK BIBLE : THURSDAY, COLLOSSEUM; FRIDAY, DOG AND TRUMPET; SATURDAY, THE COLIN CAMPBELL; SEE YOU THERE!
  • Millenium near the train station just got voted "nightclub of the year" by whoever does that sort of thing. Liberty's is over 25's, all others get directed upstairs to Millenium. A refreshing change for all us 'oldies' who tire of having teenagers dance rings around us. They are just to damn energetic. A new place has opened called 'The Zanzibar'. It's by the River in Bond Gate. Not been there yet so I cant say whats its like. Chico's is a pub that opens till 12 and has a dance floor. Good if you like watching punch ups.
  • Upstairs in the Campell pub on a wednesday and the Colusseum on a thursday if you don't like thumpy dance music. The Dog and Trumpet for heavy metal and The Planet if you are into posing which also has a late license in the bar downstairs (2am).
  • mr g's!!!!!!!!!!!!plastic greek statues, 4 drinks for the price of one (but do not buy a beer...watered down beyond belief!)meat market. even the bouncers are not frightening. strange smell of sewage when you are queueing. stranger dresses in the window...how do they relate to the club? and horrible blokes! and the chips are the worst thing about the place...and that is saying something. it's just manky, manky, manky. and then some. the music is like someone has borrowed my ministry album and scratched it. and the chips.....eurgh. and the blokes. only useful if you are playing pull-a-dog, otherwise its just lesbianism alll the way. and even the girls are rough. and so are the chips. really. only go if you are insanely happy, otherwise the cheap booze, bad decor, flooding toilets, ex-boyfriend apperances, and the inevitable chips... will cause you to want to kill yourself within half an hour, descending to the floor in a puddle of tears and a streaky mascaredface. nice. and the blokes are so desperate you will still pull.
  • The Coluseum is good on a friday if you go with a crowd full of student types, who want to have a good time. No troule here, the worst thing that will happen is that someone will fall in to you when they are pissed up.
  • Dog and Trumpet, best club around
