- Kenneth Kendall the Newsreader runs Kendall's Fine Arts. I think it closes at 5.45pm which is of course when the News is on.
- Famous current residents include Alan Titchmarsh who lives near the Royal Yacht Squadron and Ellen MacArthur who also has a home in Cowes and is a partner of a local restaurant in Bath Road.
- The lead singer of Level 42 comes from the IOW.
- Living in quiet anonymity in Cowes is Beverly Hillbilly Buddy Ebsen,
- One particularly spiffy half-time resident is singer/musician Robyn Hitchcock (formerly of the Soft Boys, still with the Egyptians).
