  • The part when i leave
  • Crawley has NOTHING of Merit whatsoever, and i have lived here for 48 years.
  • Beautiful old town.
  • The real genuine working people of Broadfield & Bewbush who dont exploit any other people.
  • Girls Who dont have kids at the age of 16
  • its not all that bad here...pubs can be pretty cool on sat nights
  • I lived there for 14 years and never found anything good about Crawley!! Only the old town, but theres not much of that left!
  • The town is always expanding and there's something for everyone
  • It isn't to far from my mum's house!!
  • grungers, metal heads
  • It's the centre of the universe and the Airport
  • Leisure park has great facilitys
  • The people both past and present!
  • the is quite alot do do.
  • Tulley's Farm. The nice location Crawley has to offer, being reasonable distance between London and Brighton locationwise. The excellent network of care provided by the NHS via midwives and birth councilling. Little of it was accurate but it made me feel good righht up until it was time to pop. My husband and daughter.
  • best fings are the co-op where u can get cheap alcohol
  • goin down the pub smokin gettin your willy wet and goin home wakin up wiv a new bird in your bed
  • *After living in Crawley, you'll be prepared for Hell! *Once you're out of the Crawley area you feel slightly cleaner and safer. *Any place you visit always seems a little bit brighter in comparison
  • i like the fact dat crawley i so multicultered, it brings so much life into the place.
  • Shops are quite good. Bus service is good. Great countryside isn't far away.
  • Lots to do, great place for families and nice people. Great town, Crawley.
  • Stop dissin crawley, it has good points and bad points, the kids arent tht bad and neither are the areas. many people enjoy crawley and if you dont like it so much tht u feel u hav to complain then leave because no one cares!
  • ME n my posse of street skaters (duh)
  • sex and blow jobs on your ankles
  • It's best in the summer sit on the balcony at rat & parrot you get to see all the people that pass and drink cocktails.
  • wanking with a condom on
  • local prostertute jaz scutch
  • Lots of industry and close to Airport and Brighton.
  • BROADFIELD- ALL U OUT THERE WHO THINK BROADFIELD IS SHIT AINT GOT A CLUE. BROADFIELD IS THE GHETTO AND IS THE PLACE TO BE.
  • The best thing about Crawley is the Police service. It is charming to see them licking ice creams at carnivals and holding up children as parents photograph them. Other Police services are always too busy to spend time with their public. Also our Police is excellent at parking thiers cars behind a wall just over the brow at Broadfield Stadium traffic lights. When you jump the lights at around 2am Saturday nights they nick you! I mean I am so glad that they were there hiding and waiting rather than attending the violent behaviour at the night club kicking out time!
  • Not much is good
  • the football teams badge looks nice(if you're under 10)
  • There is nothing that is particularly good in or about crawley , Its a mediocre New town with lots of sowff lundiners and illegals that together create a very unwelcoming intimidating place. The feeling of unease is hightened if you frequent any of the so called 'nightspots '. Ikon.... Meant to be over 21 's or something like that , but if you were to ask many of the patrons ' do you ahve school on monday?' then the quick reply would be 'yeh but, yeh but, but no , but yeh ,,,,, shut up '. Diva.... not many diva's in here . its a shit hole with the male /female ratio 8/1. bar med...always good for a laugh on a tuesday night. lots of airline hostesses getting pissed and punting there wears.Friday/Saturdays a little less uninviting with more 'crawley wide boys' shoulder to shoulder groping the arses of any unsuspecting 16 year old that may want passed.but not so friendly to men.......excuse me mate,=== do you know me or go to school with me, eh no, well i'm not your fucking mate..... nice one .. THe Rat and Parrott.... ok for the early part of the night. always lots of nice pussy there but there is also full on attitude to go with them. and last but no means least ..BRANNIGANS>>>> Set in the not so central part of town it is a short walk to the lesuire park . you will excited by the allore on you first vist , lots of promises on the posters outside , then you will be shocked to hear the £4 entry to find 2 rampacked bar areas where it takes upto 30 minutes to get served but understaffed overworked unfriendly barstaff. The toilets are up stairs ,ther are not hard to find just follow the smell of puke and piss ,listen for the cacckling and bitchiness from the females as the pass on the stairs and stair in disbelief thatin the gents there is no doors on the stalls and at least 2 of the pan have been ripped out. With the latrines overflowing you wil then add to the sea of piss that is cascading over the ledge before some unfutunate drunkard falls over and sits in you puddle...
  • The "FOR SALE" notice outside my house - I'm outa here - I am fed up with the LOCAL council providing 1/2 million pounds to house the former resident's of Chagos Islands: Diego Garcia, Peros Banos, and Salomon, in the South Indian Ocean - since when was it Crawley's Problem - National problem maybe but NOT Crawley - so they have spent 1/2 Million - they could have spent the same amount of money providing the statutory transit and permanent sites for the "travellers" in Crawley - so they wouldn't again be illegally camping out in my neighbourhood - what chance have I got of selling my house while they are here and keeping me awake all night with their generators!
  • Rat and Parrot, Kismet and brannigans.
  • Quite a lot of things to do in Crawley- and you can get the best of both worlds- the urban town centre and the rural atmosphere of the ifield countryside and farms.
  • THORNTON'S! Ice-cream in the summer, toffee, fudge, mints, alcoholic choccies and of course jus loads of choccies!
  • Crawley has top quality entertainment with the Hawth Theatre and it is a thriving town with the biggest one runway airport in the world and it is attracting people from around the country to work in Crawley
  • Kebabs, and Kebab shops!
  • The Skate Park
  • The fact that we've got a great shopping centre - okay so all the "same old" stores but at least it's on the doorstep. Really good library - even if it is a 60's eyesore building. Loads of pubs - even if they are heaving, smoke filled dens that you don't really want to be seen in! Now do all these belong in the Worst Things too??
  • crawley has no good things
  • I don't live there....
  • smoking and drinking.
  • ikon/diva on a saturday night with my friends phil and emma (easy now!) followed by a kebab at troys
  • Big Cinema and Shopping Mall Good Theatre. Green Spaces and Forests. Only DJ PEET is the saving grace, runs a METAL/GOTH night at THE SWAN pub every other Thursday.
  • the NICE, smart and attractive girls that crawley offers up, and there's plenty of them. Bless them.
  • loads of 16 year old girls to poke when theve had a bevvy down at the Casbah
  • Crawley is a waste. It is a nice place, and apart form the aforementioned, it is really a decent place. All I will say, is if the 50% of the population, with a brain, where allowed to stay and everyone else told to go, it would be a lot better. One good thing, Gatwick is so close, that if I need to get away from the 90%, I can with ease!
  • Plenty of women and some are actually quite nice. Great in the summer!
  • The best thing is that I have seen the light and escaped!
  • Crawley is not as bad as everyone reckons, especially people from Brighton who come here to work but that is it, and then slag it off.
  • Busy, and fairly friendly town. Not that much trouble on a Friday/ Sat night. Bowling alley (2), Cinema, 2 Leisure Centres, a park, Loads of places to eat and drink, 2 nightclubs, a mall.
  • Some people are complete dicks but generally people are wicked and since being at uni i've become proud of saying i'm a crawley girl, noone knows where it is anyway!
  • the people are the best (and the worst) thing about Crawley
  • lots of council cricket pitches (better than horsham)
  • The best thing about Crawley is that I will soon move away and never have to set foot in the skanky hell-hole EVER AGAIN. Living in Crawley is only marginally preferable to attending a Steps concert.
  • it has everything usually people do not need to go out of crawley for anything and if they do, they dont have to travel very far!
  • I love Crawley because I have always lived here. The town is doing amazingly well through industrial and commercial companies settling down here. I industrial estate is second to none and is maintained proudly by the companies that reside there. We have our own Cable company (Eurobell) whom provide a high level of service and offer a wide range of packages, we have some of the biggest names in Travel and Chemicals amounst many other things here. The new areas of Crawley are constantly expanding and check the house prices and you'll see they reflect the quality of life; In my little town we call Crawley ;o)
  • Beautiful countryside all around, many very unusally beautiful parks, only 25 minutes to the sea and Brighton
  • The town is aestectically more pleasing than use to be.
  • there arent any, honestly!!!
  • The best thing is that i live here and it isnt infested by sluts and the girls and boys are not hard nuts, we round here just have a fasion of wearing our colors up. It isnt a bad place... really....
  • There may be bad things to say for Crawley but is there any place for which those same things cannot be said?I've travelled the world as well as seen more of Britain than perhaps the average British person so I already know the answer-no... every place has it's bad and good. The good of Crawley? The town is of historical significance but it probably takes a cultered person to note that rather than any ignorant person who slags Crawley off.Crawley has beautiful parks to walk in:Tilgate,Buchan and the Millpond for example.Crawley has loads of playparks and adventure playgrounds for kids.Crawley has quite a good range of shops in and around the town but if that's not enough for any shopper then Brighton,London,Horsham and Croydon are not too far away to travel to.Same for clubbing or pubbing. For tourists Crawley makes a good central base to all kinds of places of interest.Crawley is a nice mix of rural and urban and after living in London that is refreshing. So much good can be said for Crawley which other towns don't have to offer but anything bad is the same as anything bad that can be said for those same other towns,if not then it's worse in other towns.Rather than pass badjudgement on a place that hasn't been seen come and visit us.
  • the urm urm train station the gateway to getting out of the town.
  • TSC Football Club. The best County footballing side in crawley. They should drop peter sweet though. He is SHIT
  • Gateway Church International in town centre, needs more recogntion by the town. County Mall, Leisure park
  • TSC Football Club are the best County football Club in Crawley.Ifield FC are the worst excuse for a bunch of footballer's I have ever seen. However I think that Peter Sweet should be dropped as he lacks what it takes to make a decent footballer.
  • The way that the Crawley News reacted when they discovered this website. "Long-term residents" (sounds like an open prison) were "enraged" at disparaging claims over blandness and crime levels. This article appeared above another story about £100,000 worth of damage to the Crawley Cricket pavilion caused by arsonists, obviously about a completely different and unrelated Crawley.
  • The M23 going North and South out of Crawley
  • The snooty nose gits of Maidenbower 'village' who think their shite doesn't stink
  • The train service out of the town.
  • All of the above and the majority of the people, although there are some dic*s in the town the majority are fun and friendly!!!
  • Overall everyone on the entertainment scene are starting to pull their fingers out so at the mo it definately getting better
  • the sighn that says you are leaving Crawley
  • Crawlet is wicked, ists got everything you could ever need, after living in acity while at uni I've come to realise the beauty of crawley, in easy reach of london and brighton but with its own personality as a small town. The lack of clubs only makes it better - no matter where you go on night out you'll always know people there!!
  • Crawley market is quite good - on Fridays and Sats; good for cheap fruit. Also, visit the free range egg man in the old mini market off the high street. The Hawth theatre sometimes has some decent productions, but beware of the Bel Canto opera (amateurs) and other amateur performances. Some touring shows are superb - eg Doyley Carte, and Shakespeare companies from the north of England. Take your own booze for the interval - you can then be drinking instead of waiting at the bar - and turn up in a narrow car as the car park has tiny entrances, designed to foil gypsies who try to camp in the place.
  • Tilgate Park for a evening stroll (bliss!), the countless nice restaurants, Having a cineplex so you don't have to travel to far out to see a good film, having a shopping mall so you don't have to travel too far out to get whatever you want.
  • Recently had a 60% reduction in violently crime thanks to a rigourous police campaign. The surrounding rural areas are very nice. The town parks (the Memorial Garden, Goffs Park, Tilgate Park) are very well looked after and have impressed a lot of people from else where.
  • Crawley folk are a good laugh and its a decent place to live. There are worse places to live!
  • Who told someone that Crawley was relatively cheap for SE England???? Crawley is one of the most expensive places to live in the local area (partly dur to nearby Gatwick), and was recently labelled the area of the UK where house prices had risen most sharply in the whole of the UK!! Didn't you see some man from Choices Estate Agent on GMTV?
  • London & Brighton nearby. Apart from that, it's just like Harlow, Stevenage, Hemel Hempstead and Slough. Houses are (relatively) cheap for SE England. Once you've been to Crawley, you will know why.
  • Brannigans on just about any night of the week!
  • Crawley is where my heart is and I love the town. It rocks
  • None of it, i have seen Crawley get worse over the space of 5 years, drugs ,under age drinking and muppets. What is going to happen about it.
  • Crawley is home to the all conquering Crawley Jets Rugby League team. Playing out of Broadfield stadium (the football ground) the Jets won the National Rugby League conference in 1998 and were just pipped into runner up spot in 1999. The Jets have a huge fan base in the town and players can regularly be picked up in Ikon Diva Night-club after 11pm on a saturday.
  • Gatwick - the worlds second busiest international airport (after Heathrow) is IN our town
  • It's not far to go to get to somewhere decent.
  • I think Crawley is a very quaint town I visited there in 1986. However, I am sure it has changed alot.I live in Dallas, TX where there is alot of "Nouveau Riche".
  • The football team. They reached the Third Round of the FA Cup not so long ago ‹ lost 1-0 at Exeter City. Then the chairman sacked the manager a few days later. Nice man, the chairman...
  • Lots of young women
  • Tilgate Park has a very good Farm/Zoo. Mercury FM
