  • The Railway aka The Rocket: live bands every sat. Look out for Society and Dave etc..
  • The Ravenswood at Sharpthorne has been used since early 2006 by Acoustic Sussex, a bunch of local guys who put on national and internationally known names, normally with a local/unsigned musician in support (including some excellent singer/songwriters from Brighton such as Cathryn Stone or Martha Tilston). The musical genres are pretty varied - mostly it's contemporary stuff, not 'finger in the ear' folk music! More info at www.acousticsussex.org.uk
  • The swan, they used to have some great jams
  • tilgate park once a year
  • There's not really many music places with bands in Crawley except for sometimes in Queen's Square in the County Mall bands have a quick play here.

  • The only night-time Alternative Music is DJ PEET. He performs a metal/goth/industrial night at The Swan pub every thursday fortnight. Rumour has it it's going to get bigger and have more venues. But as yet few pubs will upset the THUGS and TARTS who provide most of the income, so only THE SWAN has such a night.
  • Dont u think its about time we got a proper music venue?somewhere that plays actuall music rather than that crap that icon/diva plays.Hendrix once played in crawley(October 15th 1967)so we could have that musical presence again.
