- Best Chinese is the Crown if you want proper Cantonese food. Don't be put off by the 1950s town pub decor - the food is great.
Best chippy is the Trawlers Catch.
- Go to the Chef's Choice wonderful chips. Can get OAP and kids Portions too.
The Golden Bridge is the best Chinese takeaway, and the Indian restaurant also on the High Street does wonderful food to eat in or takeaway (more expensive though)
- My personal opinion is that Weatherspoons is perfect for food, take the whole family. I prefer the Golden Bridge for Chinese take away, and the Indian Tandoori is very highly recommended. There's another Chinese take away on the High Street which is also good. There are two fish and chip shops, opposite each other. There's also a kebab shop which is popular.
- Wetherspoons do lovely food and good portion sizes.

- the crown if u ever in crediton or live here and have not been there the food is great and, i mean great,there also there's the grapevine i hear its exspensive though
- Many. On Bong is a brill Chineese take a way. General Sir Redvers Buller has a Thursday Curry Nite.
