- Great Farmers Market first Saturday of each month
- Shakspeare in the square by the local people in the Drama Society is just superb. Used to be held in a large car park but was at the church this year (2005)You really can't beat the quality of acting and enthusiasm, they're just wonderful. Even if you think you don't like Shakspeare go and watch it just to see, everyone even the kids love it. It's normally on every two years and they did one this summer 2005. It may be cold but it gets chilly sitting outside take a blanket or sleeping bag. They have a refreshment service for the interval - hotdogs, burgers, tea, coffee, ice cream, alcohol etc. (About £2 per food item I think though.)
- Escape while you still have the chance... oh, come on! It's not the worst town in the UK... that's Tiverton!
- It's an OK town if you want to be bored out of your head most of the time.
- if you've got a chance to go somewhere else, then go! if you must visit your dear old gran or auntie & want to be put off coming again, then do it...my my, you can only do it once!..believe me!
