My father from Canada stayed in his grandad's house in Crediton in 1945 while he was stationed in England...From The 1901 census i found the family living in a house called "Syndemham Villa" on Wearle street crediton,i think the wearle ,is a typo and should be searle....I also heard the house may have burned down in the 60's too....Any ideas ?
