Favourite Building in Crewe, Cheshire*
Art deco, contemporary, futuristic, tall, short...
You can tell us more about Crewe.
Favourite Building
- The Municipal Buildings, very elegant!
- Old listed parts of MMU - especially building on front entrance.
- I suppose the town clock. In emulation of big ben you can see it and hear it all over Crewe. Its too big to be vandalised, so its left alone. I was told as a child its the brother bell to Ben, if this is true i have no idea!
- Has to be the old technical college on Flag Lane, although it is soon to become flats - probably better than the place being empty, but no doubt the end for that building
- Flipped skate - the guy who works here is real friendly and this place is really cool.
- the town halls ok i spose. the limelight is ok inside, like something out of blade, or batman
- My house, because it is so crap!
- Crewe Hall
- Ah the Lyceum Theatre, looks the same today as it did when Shakespeare was a lad. Erm, no it doesn't it's been tarted to look like a modern theatre going experience, and has a wine bar? Still hosts the greats though... Ken Dodd, and Keith Harris and Orville, ohhh Luvvie!
- Aldi (cheap food)
- Les's chippy.
- Any detached house in Crewe Green, Haslington or Wistaston. This is where the smart set of Crewe live and houses here beat anything the town centre has to offer architecturally, if thats spellt right.
- CREWE HALL NOW AN INTERNATIONAL HOTEL AND CONFERENCE CENTRE WAS USED AS A PRISON CAMP DURING THE 2ND WORLD WAR
- Cuzons - Crewe Manchester Met' campus.
- The Municipal Buildings, Earl Street
