• Update - July 2011: There are now NO record shops in Crewe. There used to be Hightown Records, APS Records, Omega Records, Virgin Records (subsequently changed to Zavvi and then again to HMV, closed early 2011 and the unit is still empty) and finally Music Zone. All of these stores have since closed down. Unfortunately, Manchester's now your best bet for decent record shops although one or two exist around the Stoke area (with a particularly good one in Piccadilly Arcade in Hanley called Music Mania, close to the Regent Theatre). Otherwise, you'll need to shop for music on the internet.
• Music Zone in Queensway, good for people of a certain age to replace their vinyl with cds!
• used to be APS in crewe, now its gone somewhere else duno where. music zone is ok and virgin, thats about it though.
• APS has stopped selling music. It`s called Time Tunnel now, selling comics, figures etc. Just Music Zone and Virgin left in Crewe now.(2/2006)
• Music Zone opposite topshop is cheap, and has a good selection of unknow bands, although not such a wide selection as virgin. Although at almost half the price, who cares?!
• Aps Cd's is the only good record shop in the town of crewe
• APS, Tony's been a feature in crewe for years, flitting from place to place. not far from 3 lamps he now shares a buildingf with Carl, who sells comics and is single handedly responsible for 99% of my Spidey collection
• Virgin have a pretty wide range of CDs. Nowhere else worth going.

• Visit Platinum Records at 128c Nantwich Road. CD's, Vinyls, DVD's, the works. cheap as chips too. Nott open just yet but keep watching. The owner is a guy named Woody. Tell him The Man sent you. Will be worth it when it opens!
• Platinum records next to flipped skate.
• Virgin, Asda have a good selection, There a shop neat M&S called "our price", not sure if its still there though, i think it is.
• Hmm Virgin and Whsmiths and a tired little record shop opposite ethel austin, ooh did I miss any out? Needs more competition methinks.
• APS near Ethel Austins
• There are a couple of interesting, indie-type record shops within yards of the town centre. Details will appear here shortly.
• APS The place with green signs n stuff opposite ethel austins!
• Virgin Records- sells mobile phones (& some CD's)
• Good cd/record shop opposite Ethel Austin's in center. Also sells sci-fi models and stuff.
• Since the sad demise of Omega Records, Crewe hasn't really had a stand-out record shop, although APS records in the town centre deserves a mention.
