• Barbacoa on Merseyview has undoubtedly the best restaurant in the area and the Royal Hotel in Waterloo is perfect for Bar Meals, Sunday Lunches and special meals. Barbacoa has an excellent on a Sunday and is by far the nicest place too!
• Pretty much anywhere in Waterloo area, I recommend Charlie Chans and City Pizza - open till about 1 and cut weed up for the scallies!
• Fong's Fish and Chicken bar in Crosby village. Got my lunch there everyday for two years in 6th form. If you didn't have enough money, you could bring it back the next day. Beautiful, beautiful 95p beefburgers...
• The Village pub has an extensive food menu serving from 12pm to 9pm, it serves italian, mexican, chinese.......Food offers on during the week
• Satterthwaites make the best pork pies in the known universe. Probably. The best Bavarian slices, sausage rolls eccles cakes.... The best.
• The Alhambra has gone now - unfortunately. But the South Road area is still excellent - try the new Chinese, Dragon Inn - or Jalons 2, usually full , lively, and good food. Also, theres SMILE Thai in St. John's Road. Its like eating in your frontroom with a motherly Thai owner constantly topping up the rice. The food is always fresh, really well cooked, and its cheap. Highly recommended
• well look for yourself, every other shop is a resteraunt amongst all the pubs
• Nicola's restaurant on South Road has the friendliest manager ever! Gorgeous food too, fabulous desserts, and a guaranteed free drink if it's your birthday!
• Venus Taverna (Greek)on Manor Road
• A new restaurant/bar opened in South Road is Parnells. Great meeting place for lunch, coffee, evening meal or just a drink. Also available for functions. About time too. I worked in Crosby for 5 years and the lack of venues for works night out and meeting places for lunch was slack back then. Great its picked up in the last couple of years.
• Pizza Reaction, Crosby Road North Miami Pizza, South Road George and Angelas Fish and Chips, College Road
• Church's Restaurant off South Road - excellent food with live music and bar.
• La Barbacoa Pub on Oxford Road has a very nice resturant upstairs, it has set menu's which are varied and the food is very well made (and good value). Antonellis Italian Resturant - South Road: Excellent Resturant! The food is some of the best Italian food I have eaten and the service is second to none. The price isn't too bad (probably what you would pay if you were visiting an Italian in Liverpool)

• "Hey Pesto" on the corner of Liverpool Road has some cheap and cheerfull food. Barny,s Chippy St Johns Road, you get loads a chips on the chip barms! Theres a Chippy near the bottom of St Johns Road that started the "Mars bars in Batter" craze a few years back.. eeek!
