Mags, mags and more mags

You can tell us more about Croydon.

Magazine and Comic Shops
  • place in space! nuff said!
  • Missdemeanour/s Tramms, Church St .
  • i get the beano from co-op
  • forbidden planet bottom of high street
  • Place in Space and Forbidden Planet.
  • Forbidden Planet
  • forbidden planet is good for a few graphic mags but mostly for the toys that go with them. into the void has ALOT more comics than planet but its in streatham.
  • Forbidden Planet, West Croydon, for all the latest sci-fi books and mags, plus a good stock of "how to" books on comic strips and illustration.
  • WHSmith's is pretty good for your everyday magazines and stock tons of obscure weird magazines as well
  • up in smoke! i don't know if it's diverse enough for the more hardcore among you, but i like it, plus they sell body jewellery and do piercing (and possibly tattooing, i can't remember). it's on church street. the staff are very friendly too, something of a rarity round here.
  • Forbidden Planet near West Croydon Station is ok for most comics, backdated as well, etc, as well as comic paraphanalia. Just make sure you don't get mugged coming out by other kids interested in your purchases.
  • whsmiths? Waterstones?
  • There's a Forbidden Planet on the corner of London Road, opposite West Croydon BR.
  • May and brets, one stop
  • place in space south croydon
  • Forbidden Planet, opposite W.Croydon station.
  • Forbidden plannet at the end of North end
  • Forbidden Planet in South End and A Place In Space in Church St are your best bets for comic books and merchandise.
  • One opposite the games shop I mentioned, behind the Drummond Centre.
  • The place is packed with them! In the centre and near stations the prices go up a bit, but generally reasonable.
