Favourite Building
- the mall
- My husband says 'KFC or Homebase'
I say Candy's, it's the life line of Braod street, Whitebarn lane and Oval road north. Opens early, shuts late and sells almost everything and the people that work there are lovely.

- Dagenham house architecture is famous for the wrong reasons: it often gets a bad write-up in the over-snobby London property press because of its 'samey-ness'. There are somthing like 30,000 houses built here between 1925-36 and although there werer 90 deseigns, they all look pretty similar. However, this is Dagenham's strength as many people have purchaed a similarly sized house outside the area for the alleged kudos it brings - whereas living in Dagenham brings with it no kudos at all. Their loss, our gain! Where else can you buy a decent 3 bed house on the tube, in outler London for less than £150,000 (June 03). My overall favourite single building, however, has to be the Millennium Centre in Eastbrookend. Well worth a visit and the park itself, on a rainy day, round by Aventis is spooky to say the least!
- Eastbrook pub
- the toilet at oxlow lane
- The Mall!! St Josephs primary school. That hairdressers on the heathway (bernards) is an ever evolving monstrosity, but i kinda luv it!
