- Game in the Cornmill Centre and HMV also stock games which is also located in the Cornmill Centre, Chips and Game Exchange is down Clark's Yard, CEX (the store that keeps you waiting ages) which is located in Queen's Street Shopping Centre
- Game is the cheapest, it's in the Cornmill.
- Software Darlington, 4 West Row, Darlington for all Hardware, Software, Computer Books and CDR and DVDR media. Best place in town to come and browse, very cheap, you never know what you may find there. Pc Upgrades and repairs also done on site.
- Chips in Clarks yard is okay, but small. J & C Media supplies in Clarks yard is by far the cheapest place for cd-r and dvd-r. And they build pc's to order too!

- GAME in the Cornmill, Charlies has shut down, Star Games has ceased to exist, Chips is still there (only just).

- The one in the cornmill - electronics boutique is the only one to bother with - they offer a 28 day return policy - buy it, play it, finish it, take it back! it is company policy for them to accept it back so don't be fobbed off by a jumped up saturday college worker.

- Recently half of Chips turned into Popcorn where they sell movie memorabilia, X-files gubbins, loads of Star Wars figures, posters and Laserdiscs. Well worth a look in. Chips, ideal for import games, plus they also part-exchange games. Topsoft, is it still open? Topsoft is very quiet at the moment. Swiftly moving on, Electronic's Boutique, good range of stuff, where my friend Mike works. It's nice and clean.
