Live Music Venues
- The Quaker House has live music playing every Wednesday, mostley rock or blues. Great crowed and friendly atmosphere
- Big Bands at the forum, or the arts centre next to Queen Elizabeths 6th Form College.
- The Forum - Classy little music venue which has sprung up very recently (about the end of 2003). It's a renovated church playing host to all kinds of music, there is a bar area with couches, a 150 capacity main stage, and recording studios. Last Christmas Eve they held a hip hop night with loads of DJs and Willy Wonka playing on the projection screen, was absolutely class. This is what the town has been needing for ages.

- To whoever wrote about Ethan jerking off in Smalltownville - that's exactly the reason we split up - I took the plunge and went down south - Bill.
- Hurworth communitty centre has stack of live entertainment for the more mature crowd. jazz nights, casino nights... there is a big night out on fri29th with local crowd pleaser "MIDDI" plus other unconfirmed guests. call eric on 01325 720840 for more info.. they also run an ad ever month in "whats on round darlington" magazine. - The Forum is great, but pricey.
- the art center
- London. No musicians or bands EVER came out of Darlo. A few had promise (The Prams, Ethan, The Ambient Corporation) but they jerked off too long in Smalltownville thinking they were God's gift instead of taking the plunge and going south.

- theres nothing big for bands in darlington but here are a few cute little pubs and things where quality bands do play. the turks head is host to a local bvand every wednesday nite which is student nite and most of them are good. the pub is by far the best of the rest and has a wicked atmosphere with students and others alike gracing its presence most nights. really really like this place with the best bands in the north: CALCUTTA and others such asThe Calm.

- LOOK FOR THEME NIGHTS AT THE WWW.TAPASBAR.CO.UK SITE
- The Mechanics Institute (fabulous old building) is now tragically called the Filibuster and Firkin. Though they do have good live bands on. Local bands generally get their first gigs at either the Arts Centre or The Tap and Spile.
