• Dawlish Delights opened with new management not long ago, Kebabs and Pizzas all really good.
• Signals next to the train station, coastguards cafe
• Go to Gays Creamery the best bacon rolls ever, plus much much more

• sweets, crisps & soft drinks - Firbank Garage
• Loads of little seaside-resort style restaurants. None of them anything special.
• Salters was always known as greasy joes cos the food was a bit greasy and the chips were a bit soggy. Jimmy the Greeks at the top of strand hill used to be the best. There was the wimpy in Brunswick place and the place on the corner round from Harrisons used to deep fry their fishfingers and it blew me away as a kid. They were dear and not that good, trendy for 1 summer in about 1976.

• Old Dawlish Brewary along the high street. For tasty homemade full-course meals, served by friendly, chatty staff. Great for birthday parties, for any generation older than sixteen :).
