- OK! The 'in' pub is the Lansdown(e) in Park Road. The landlord Ray plays a regular hands-on involvement with the local Carnival. For Real Ale Lovers probably the Exeter Inn in Beach Street.
- The Mount Pleasant Inn is a favorite, get a seat by the window and enjoy a pint looking out to see, lovely pub, beautiful view, good food.
- Ah! now that is something Dawlish has in abundance! quite possibly cos drinking is 1 of the few things to do in this godforsaken "LOCAL" town
- The Exeter Inn changed hands this year and does food every day but monday and sells a decent pint of real ale (Otter as well as national beers) as well as two draught ciders and plenty of lagers. They still have a good pool team that plays on Sunday nights, so don't go in there expecting to get a game then.
There is no Juke box or fruit machines in the bar, but they do have a childrens room with a pool table etc for the younger generation. Very much a local's pub where you will always find someone to chat to.
- Swan Inn for Jazz on Wednesdays
The Landsdown Happy Hour from 1700- 1800 every night meet the famouse RAY mine host (mad as a hatter) and the lovely girls paid to serve you excellent ale
The Marine Hotel for a camp welcome.
- The Ship Inn @ cockwood - "Bloody marvelous"
- Exeter Inn - a quaint olde english pub with friendly owners and some good pool players!!
- Plenty of pubs. Most of them are a bit touristy. However, The Swan is a nice little boozer.
- I would reccomend the Brunswick, it's the least towny of all the pubs in Dawlish despite it being a rural area, it probably attracts the largest amount of students of any pub in dawlish aswell (uni students on their hol's that is)
- This was in the 70's and 80's
The Exeter Inn used to serve us at lunchtime in our school uniforms.
The railway was a rough dive.
The place by the station was a stinking hole of no goods on the dole.
The teignmouth inn was full of wankers
The Brunswick was ok, never ant trouble, a bit clicky.
The swann was a bit of a mystery
The RAFA club was very clicky but friendly, my dad drank there for years.
The Conservative club was full of old folks, very very clicky.
There were a couple of pubs up around the old junior school that I didnt go in but i think were sort of hippy/wanna be rockers and rough types from the avenues.
The devon arms was ok
the red lion was very small but a brilliant old fashioned pub.
The Gresham was a dive, full of pot heads.
Cant remember any more, sure I missed a few.
- The South Devon Inn, with Friday night entertainment.
- the ferret and radiator near costcutters is pretty good
- South Devon Inn Friday nights.
