Cheap Food
- the kebab shop in south street is excellent if you want to throw up. Bagguettes to go in stanhope rd is brillient, so is Als Bakery in the high street.
- Lobster Pot now sadly closed.
Prob best range of breakfasts is in Malvern Tea Rooms.
Royal Hotel comes and goes - seems to be 'up' at present.
Three Compasses first class food in a wine bar sort of atmosphere: Claus the patron can be moody but excellent chef: a bit pricey.
Lemon Grass Thai - excellent and good value, set in a subterranean cavern opposite Town Hall.
- shite food everywhere, crap takeaways especially the kebab house in the high street, eat here at your peril!!
- some nice restaurants great fish chip shop on mill hill amazingly huge portions of chips :>
- The Malvern, the widest selection of breakfasts from all over the world. Highly recommended. Especially the soda bread.
The chippie in Middle Street for the best fish and chips in a lovely old fashioned 1950's stylee
- afron kababs are good there at mill hill, muss the owner will always give a free kabab away to any one!!!!!
- end of the pier cafe for breakfast, Skarden's fish & chip shop, Middle Street for lunch and the Three Compasses for dinner
- Papas and Telegraph Road fish and chip shops are both pretty good

- DUNKERLEYS IS THE ONLY RESTARAUNT OF A HIGH CALIBRE IN THE TOWN. FOOD AND SERVICE OF A QUALITY WELL ABOVE THE REASONABLE PRICES.
- BEST cafe is the lobster pot, just near the pier. Where the proper fisherman go before they get in their boats. Black and white photos of fish caught, with proud fisherman
- Cafe at the end of the pier.
- A must for good food, as well as beer, at very reasonable prices is the Crown Inn at Finglesham, just on the edge of Deal. Also the Hare and Hounds at Northbourne, quality food from a quality selection.
- Rooks sells the best sausage rools ever!
