- footsteps dancing is really good, also deal wonderers and betteshanger have just combined to form deal rugby, excellent facilities.
- Loads - 1 good Rugby Club Wanderers and also Betteshanger, football at Deal Town, Tides Leisure Centre & Tennis facilities and Walmer LTA then stuff like Canton Karate etc etc etc etc Great place to go running too
- Don't knock the rugby. There are two teams: Betteshanger CWRFC grew out of the coal miners' community (mines closed by Maggie T et al), ans till has a working class ethos as well as the best sports club house in Deal; Deal Wanderers RFC less successful, but still a good social crowd.

- Deal has a reasonable football team that threatens the top end of the Kent league regularly. They also won the FA Vase at Wembley in 2001
