- New Inn and Royal are worth a look
- royal (you have to be brave), con club (members only) and the new inn
- THE ROYAL IN THE CENTRE IS DEFINITELY FOR THE 'LOCALS' WHO HAVE LIVED HERE WITH THEIR FAMILIES FOR GENERATIONS. NEW INN IS A BIT BETTER BUT HAVE SEEN SOME OF AFOREMENTIONED LOCALS FIGHTING OUTSIDE THERE TOO... THORNTON HAS MORE PUBS AND A YOUNGER CROWD, NORMAL PEOLPE SEEM TO GO TO OXENHOPE FOR A NICE PINT THOUGH
- there is the royal with it's kareoke and plasma screens. it is a bit rough and nearly everyone is barred. and there is the new inn, the beer is very expensive. both pubs have pool tables in seperate rooms from the bar and kids are allowed in before 9.00pm. ther is also the conservative club,you have to be a member which you can have from 16yrs, to be able to go in the tap room and they only have the one snooker table. under 16's are allowed in saturday and sunday afternoons- but you wouldn't want to realy. high days and holidays they have open days which are quite good.
- 'T'Royal, Con club, New Inn, But i bet you can't stay there (law never changed any pub with Inn in the name must stable a horse & its rider!)Five Flags, Black Bull up for lease if anyone wants to lose loads of money!
