• Does anyone remember the tramp "called" the Divebomber, he wore pinstrip trousers and bowler hat with a briefcase. When he saw a fag-end, he would look around, to see if anyone was watching (as if it mattered) and then dive down, pick it up and put it in his briefcase. Later he would be seen sitting on the seats outside the toilets on the Broadway, shredding the fag-ends and re-rolling them in Rizlas. He would sell them to the other tramps for a ha'penny each (that's old money)
• Charlie the Tramp always wore a flower (usually a Dandelion) in his lapel, and carried a milkbottle with tea in it. The tea was brought out to him from the cafe near comet street.During the Big Freeze of 1963 it was rumoured that Charlie had frozen to death under the Arches, however a year or so later he was seen again, he'd been on holiday, walking to Cornwall and back.
