most other pub's dabble in music to some extent. the only other serious place is the corn exchange, but it's quite occasional.
- Live music ... for decent bands you might as well just head up to Bristol. The Bierkeller in the centre of town has decent bands metal/punk/rock and the bar prices are decent. Well worth the journey

- The Corn Exchange located in the Market Place is often used by local collective Ceres Promotions as a venue for their gigs. Recent acts have included The Pink Torpedoes (maximum R&B, when R&B meant what it was supposed to mean) and cult band Ozric Tentacles. Hugh Cornwall (ex Stranglers frontman) is due to play there on Saturday 8th April. See local press for details.
In addition, acoustic nights are also held at The Lamb Inn, St Johns Street. Forthcoming dates are Wednesday 15th March, Thursday 13th April, Thursday 11th May, Thursday 15th June and Thursday 13th July: 8:00pm start in the function room.
