• PFC - in the town center, Big Fellas in Savile Town (beware this is like in the middle of a ghetto(Savile Town) .. big chance of getting mugged/beat-up/offered drugs etc. especially if you're white).

• It's strange, but they are converting so many mills and other places in Dewsbury into swanky apartments; but where are the decent restaurants??? There is not one single place to go for a nice meal out at night in the whole town. All we have are cafes, fast food joints and glorified pizza parlours. I know most of the new flats are near the station, but do people who work all day in Leeds etc really want to have to go back after they have got home. I don't live in one of them, but it would be nice to have a nice place to eat out. (Not knocking any of the cafes here, by the way, I'm talking about nighttime when they are shut.)

• McDonalds is wank, KFC is as excellent as ever but in the wrong place for shoppers to wander over to. Shame.

• The much needed gap in the Pie Shop market has been filled down Dewsbury way by the somewhat disappointing 'King Pie', boasting such dubious delights as the 'Cheeseburger' pie and really quite hideous bacon sandwiches. -D... Could do better King Pie!!!
• CONTINENTAL CAFE GOOD FOOD AND GOOD COFFEE
• Ashiqs is pretty good, but avoid Pioneer the worlds dodgiest curry house
• McDonalds - Yes I know it's suprising in such a quaint town as Dewsbury but there is one. Harvey's Fish & Chip shop. Mermaid Fish shop.
