Clubs (Dance Music) and Music Bars
  • bobs disco
  • The Squash club is fantastic! Ive noticed alot of comments about Tony and Bretty the djs but nothing about us barmaids! im pretty sure we give our customers a good giggle thtoughout the nite! even if its just by our dancing or throwing ice at each other! Tony plays alot of decent metal with the occassional emo rubbish just to keep the younger lot happy. Squash club has a new member card facility where no id no card, no card no entry which is alot better system
  • The big club in batley do they still have big acts or is it now defunct
  • The Principal. All weekend, 2-4-1 on thursday & sunday nights. The best mix of dance & r'n'b played by DJ Matt North
  • Squash CLub in Dewsbury is great for moshers/emos/metalfans. One of the bouncers in there called Matt is a pro fighter and has really cool sideburns! A must see! Also the Old Turk is good on a friday night as is the JFK. These are the only good things in Dewsbury tho. Principles and Jack Ds are sh1te, dont go there or you will get beat up by the chavs
  • in batley - bradford road iz a gr8 nite out. u cn meet ldza new ppl out there.
  • The Squash Club, The Old Turk, Principals (pah), Weatherspoons, Tapps. All of which are right in the town centre. Lucky us (!)
  • The Squash Club is the best night out around without having to go as far afield as Leeds. Fridays are incredibly busy, with much punk, metal, emo and ska being played, where as Saturdays are quieter, predominately metal nights.
  • Tony has been resident DJ at the Squash Club for as long as i can remember at least 10yrs. We still go see him every Saturday. He used to do The Black Tulip and then The Squash after.
  • The Squash Club: The only decent place to go in Dewsbury. Every Friday and Saturday night hundreds of "Moshers", Emos, Goths and other assorted masses congregate around "The Old Turk" pub until closing time when they (including me) all stumble down Old Westgate and eventually find "The Squash Club" where DJ Liam plays a fantastic array of music (no dance or pop). Note: The Squash Club is not an actual SQUASH club but I think it used to be if I'm not mistaken.
  • go to leeds
  • we need more clubs for teenagers to go to, then 13-17 year olds wont have to sneak into the other ones, we need night clubs! we need fun too!!
  • zhivagos and bunker gone for good new soundproof laws meant the owners could not comply and the licence was removed from the premises. now a print shop.
  • electras night club dewsbury bond st great club fantastic djs cheap drinks from
  • The Principal in Dewsbury is shit hot all weekend. Especially On Sunday's With Dj Richie! Get yer sen darn there and av it large!
  • Dewsbury is rubbish for clubs, however, down the down at the Frontier you can't go wrong, even now. The laser show rules, in a strange kind of way.
  • It's beyond me how people can drink at Z-H-I-V-A-G-O-S every week then come on this site and spell it wrong. It's ZHIVAGOS, pure and simple. It's a disaster zone regardless, it's had more failed facelifts than Liza Minelli. Calling it Zhivagos in the 21st century is fairly desperate too-nobody under 30 remembers the film it's named after, nor will they recall the 1970s when it originally called Zhivagos and was a genuinely top night out.
  • Frontier - Friday and Saturday is grab a Slapper night
  • go on bradford road. it rules
  • Princables for the 99P breakfast, Jack D's for the music, Zharvargo's night club oposite the train station for the dancin at the boyz n gurlz ; ).
  • theres a doss hole up near train station
  • yeh there a few starting to fill up again...
  • Zhivago's and the forever immortal West Riding.
  • Squash Club plays host to the now legendary Manclaw, pioneering a three pronged rock DJing style. New club in town is the Bunker run by ex rugby players (one for the ladies methinks).
  • Woods (not the music shop) opened within the last year. Used to be men's clothes shop Frank somebody or other. I once bought a bow tie from there but I know that's highly irrelevent. Mecca Bingo (in the old Pioneer CO-OP building).
