You can tell us more about Dewsbury.

Pubs
  • ALE TASTER
  • jack dees reputation is un-justified.its a relly good night out on a friday and saturday night.the dj actually talks and entertains as well as playing great music
  • West Riding, at the railway station. Nice staff, funny beers, lovely grub and good music.
  • The Old Turk and JFK are alright for alternative/metal. Most other pubs in Dewsbury are hideous trendy hell holes. "you looking at my bird?" "call my pint a puff?"
  • Welly, west riding squash club but the black tulip was the best
  • Tapps is very nice and Freindly, The West Riding is great for quality Ales, JFK2, albeit old is decent and the Old Turk if you like LOUD music, all the rest AVOID!
  • the Woodman was a splendid gathering place for DAG after rehearsals. this was back in tha late 70s and 80 i enjoyed their company and it was a great pint. d David Judith kevin Barbara Tony Ian Archie Glenis and many more. lots of fond wishes to them and Dewsbury Arts group
  • All the pubs are full of junkies and crazy, violent people .. especially the Black Bull in the town center.
  • The Principal. All weekend, 2-4-1 on thursday & sunday nights. The best mix of dance & r'n'b played by DJ Matt North
  • rose n crown used 2 b ok but now its shit. u'll always c pj and tb
  • rose n crown used 2 b ok but now its shit. u'll always c pj and tb
  • Old Turk. Everyone who goes in is either underage or overage. Lol.
  • Tapps and The Old Turk are my personal favourites, whilst The West Riding and the J.F.K are very decent too. All get very busy on a Friday in particular.
  • west riding cool in summer
  • The Old Turk and Tapps. That's almost it.
  • Wetherspoons is quite good... and if you sit upstairs you can watch all the dirty 13 year old slappers get turned away from the pub opposite!
  • the union rooms is very cheap but full of old people!
  • Red Lion in Hecky spoilt and gutted , someones tried to change it into a new bar but failed miserably.
  • THE RAILWAY FIRST PUB I EVER WENT IN
  • Crystal rooms on Bradford Road is OK, lots of old people are allowed in though. Actually in Batley but never mind.
  • The Black Bull pub in the Market Place has been called that for over 100 years now, and the local paper threat it like it's a listed treasure-but you can't 'the kids'-it's not very good and no amount of expensive refits will disguise it. Same goes for 'Jack D's' just up the road. It's not only on thin copyright ice, but it's EXACTLY the same place it was before it's makeover,it just has a different name and front.
  • Rosey's Bar in Ravey
  • red lion in heckmondwike rules
  • princables and jack'ds
  • good pub up near bank and mc'donalds its on the corner
  • yes loads , some not too bad ones
  • West Riding, West Riding, West Riding!
  • SCARBOROUGH HOTEL(GOTTIES BAR)Thornhill-Great beer and crowd, pity Peter has'nt learnt how to fill a pint glass-should'nt have a problem he's pulled enough-oh I see "sorry wrong pub" and "trust Peter he's a judge" - from a local boozer from Doubting Rd----which is not to be dimolished
  • All Crap!
  • Excellent food and great bar staff at the Bath Hotel.
  • TIME PIECE AND TP WOODS
  • The Black Tulip? Thats going back a while, now it's called the Oak and Acorn. The Bath Hotel and the Woodman are pretty nice. Everywhere else dominated by rockers and townies
  • Black Bull - great on a Thursday night. Duke of ~Wellington (for horizontally challenged people). Black Tulip. Market Tavern.
