The places where you buy your music
You can tell us more about Dewsbury.
Record Shops
- I used to use the one in the old arcade he had records (the old type) in one side and musical instruments in the other. Went passed some time ago and he was still selling good old 12 inch
- Woolworths, and Asda are you only hopes in hell of getting Chart CD's, if your tastes are a little more 'special' you have to go elsewhere.
- no good record shops at all, i think woolworths or w h smith's sell cd's though
- There isn't any decent ones anymore. Best bet is HMV up at Birstall.
- go to leeds
- asda!
- white rose has a hmv, wakefield is the nearest place for a virgin megastores, its a shame when ur short of cash
- there isn't really a record shop as such but the "Disco Shop" is the best place for all the dj gear and other shit, sometimes you can even get records there!
- WHSmiths sells a few
- 'Rotate' records USED to be in the Market Place, but it's an opticians now. You'll have to go to ASDA for music, but how sad is that for a town/area of about 50,000 plus?
- Records in Dewsbury - Train station at least you can get to leeds
- go 2 whsmiths or wollies them be the only places
- Just the high street big shops now and the market
- Best to get you're music from the second hand market: Every Friday, town center.
- they say use it or lose it, bring back rotate or at least get a record shop that sells more than just top 10 pap
- NONE SINCE THE CLOSURE OF ROTATE
- Second hand market worth checking for vinyl. But really still mourning the death of bostocks
- Rotate records in the centre of town has a singles collection which is second to none!
- Rotate is the only Real record shop in dewsbury, good for the run of the mill and not bad for back catalogues, but too restricted in choice.
You're best of trying the market on a friday
- The one in the Market Place - apparently very good but I haven't been there.
