l am tracing the Kaye Family my great grandfather was Sam Crowther Brooke Kaye from Batley he had a brother Arthur Crowther Brooke Kaye he was born in liversedge. some family memembers say Arthur Crowther Brooke Kaye was a famous cricketer he was told he played for staincliffe Cricket club and yorkshire cricket club, i am trying to find out if this is true.

can anyone help me l had a family member who was a band leader at Dewsbury Empire and he did make is build organ not sure about is name could be Arthur or Albert Crowther or Kaye

    theres a richard brooke kaye who was an organ builder in London in 1891 census,although born in Dalton and he's in my family tree.. could this be a link? the branch I'm looking at were very fond of surnames (often mothers maiden names) as middle names, cockhill and brooke happen quite often.. they are centred on Marten Nest/ Almondsbury/ Dalton area
