The village hall is currently being done up etc and will be in the VERY near future a great place to hold parties, special evenings or band practises (without any disturbance).

Dingley "worst things" by Kate (Member 10204829) on 17-Mar-2007
There are no worst things, even having a no pubs, clubs or shops aren't worst things because you have that readily available in Market Harborough or Sutton Bassett. Dingley is just one of those places where you can really relax and get great views of the rolling countryside. I wouldn't move from here for the world! It really makes you appreciate the countryside and a good community when everyone g... more >>

Was it still in private ownership, (presumably Viscount Downe and Family?), or was it being used for other war purposes. Were any Land Army girls based there, (as I believe my mother may have been).
Does anyone have any photos of any staff or workers from the estate at around that time, and are there any persons st... more >>

Seeking John Thomas Crabbe by S (Member 10070575) on 25-Jun-2002
I am looking for information of a John Thomas Crabbe from freshwater, Isle of Wight. He was in the Royal Navy on board the HMS Shackleton, around 1959-62? He was friendly with a Bob Mitchell and Geoff Cleary. I believe he now resides in the Northants area. I hope someone remembers him and knows where to find him to pass this information. john.wright16@ntlworld.com
