Where to go to get down

You can tell us more about Doncaster.

Clubs (Dance Music) and Music Bars
  • bars... LOTS and they're all shit, if you've ever had the misfortune to go out in doncaster you'll know what its like to go back in time.
  • Central Park, Social Bar, Priory
  • Trilogy, Karisma for clubbing Aruba, Tryst and Yates are my favourite
  • VIP doncaster is a great club to be in has the most amazing staff and music!! with a free shot when u go in and they have the best cocktails ever!! (its not long been open so not many people no about it but u carn't miss it its opposite bolier rooms on silver street!) get yourself in there you will love it trust me!! :)
  • Donnys not the place it used to be but it's still a good night out! (Ah I remember the days of Ritzy and Karisma before nightclubs started letting 14 year old chavs in!) Trilogy is an overpriced youth club but unfortunately there aren't many alternatives. I've heard Bolier Rooms is ok for dance/trance stuff and there's always Mood for the older mixture, it's just a case of finding which pubs are the busiest and best for you. Problem is there's so many it can be a pain in the arse finding em!
  • A good place for the Jeld-Wen blonde slappers to see their male strippers at Bentley Pavilion or better known as CHAVTOWN!
  • they all have remarkably young patrons, especially trilogy! a hellhole for all local donny chavs!
  • Tut and shive the hub of the alternative doncaster scene, and serve the best ale for miles.
  • belins, walkabout
  • the nearest alternative club is in sheffield. its called corporation. Its very good. dunno where it is tho.
  • TRILOGY
  • It's been a long time since clubbing in Doncaster (for many reasons, mainly due to the town's obsession with violence, bad language and threats, but hey that's what you get from such a dense population of small-minded alcoholic townies)... But I've heard that the new Trilogy is a great venue, if only it weren't for the people that frequent it...

  • trilogy - quite a good club. DO NOT go to berlin's unless you are a massive chav (townie). seriously. all the chavs go there and it's an awful slaggish club. camelot's is in between.
  • donney just got betta
  • moods
  • you are all way out of date now. the place to be is trilogy (formerly visage on silver st). its has 3 rooms. a cheesy pop room, a proper dance room (ie dance, hp. hdcore etc)both of which are massive, and a slightly smaller RnB room. Karisma is dead. TRILOGY!
  • Camelots, that's the best.
  • Karisma
  • Trilogy nightclub is now the place t b! Well worth a visit! But best option is t get a blaggers vip pass from Tryst so u dnt ave t queue 4eva! Karisma has now closed due to lack of business....hahaha!
  • visage (closed) re-furbed & renamed Trilogy- the best nite club in donny, i love it. stays open till 4am on a saturday nite but stops serving at 2am. other hot places to go are the white bear, edwards, yates, tryst (get tickets for trilogy there), moods, walkabout, the old george & livingstons. karisma is still open but never seen or heard of anyone go there anymore.
  • Karisma. Tuesday night is punk/ska stuff
  • why did visage ever close it was the best club ever! nothing like a good night out surrounded by your favourite smackheads and banging music and im not even being sarcastic!
  • livingstones is coooolllll!!!!!!!! met mi totty in there two years ago (shes now old enough to drink there! :) full of old tarts wanting to be 18 again, full of young tarts wanting to be legal! but greaT music. IT'S THE PLACE TO BE IN DONNY!!!
  • all the clubs in donncaster are for townie smack heads so they r crap
  • A new vodka bar has opened up at the top end. Check it out!!! Karisma and visage are great places for dancing, drinking and meeting people.
  • lol, visage is poo
  • Visarge, Eden, Karisma, and new ones recently opened, and i beleive a few more still to be opened. Sorry for homosexuals out there, Doncaster is the most homophobic place i know of.
  • Bacchus also known as Jurrasic park don't ever go there, its no bigger than a pub! Karisma-where all the 'young' people go (Thats a good thing) Walkabout- If its raining they give you a big umbrella while your queing-therefore I praise them! Visage FORUM (NOT THE MAIN BIT YUK) on a satuady nite they play britpop and its free 2 get in before 11pm
  • Flares is a little bit wierd, yet different
  • NOT Livingstones!!!!
  • Flares, Karisma, Visage and loadsa new pubs opening @ 'The Forum' very soon.
  • Visage, silver st is the place to go to meet the ladies... its amazing how much pocket money the kids have tho... hint hint!
  • Its quite funny actually young birds go up to the visage doors on a weekend (except on a sunday, they need to do there homework) showing a bit of flesh and walk straight in no questions asked. But every lad going in either gets asked for i.d or searched. They should sort it out! VISAGE THE PLACE 2B IF YOU WANT A 14 YEAR OLD KID..................
  • flares on bradford row has just opened-its a 70s party place but looks wkd
  • Donny seems to be opening later each time I visit, lots of pubs until midnight or even 1am - why bother with the clubs at all.
  • karisma on a tuesday nite!! the mosh pits are killer!
  • karisma (tuesday), forum (saturday) (upstairs at visage)
  • Karisma, Visage...
  • Park Lane has now re_opened under the name of The Boardwalk. It still seems to attract over25's (or should that be 45!) It's marginally better than it used to be - I think they must have spent about £4.50 on the refurb. If you're in to 70's and 80's and grew up in that era though this is definately the place to be and at least you wont feel as if you've turned up to pick up the kids.
  • Best club in Donny for the over 18's (and that lets out all patrons of Karisma or Visage) is now Bacchus on Hallgate, packed at the weekends and a great Karaoke night on Mondays - you can 'follow the bear' with free entry tickets from the White Bear!
  • Karisma(great) Visage(crap) Eden?(never been)
  • Visage- best place for a good laugh, a fight and to pull a 15 year old.
  • visage - what a joke - full of youthfulness - it really spoils it 4the others & karisma is no better- as 4park lane - the less said about that the better.
  • Well where do you start, everyone on a good session starts in the market place, taking in sites such as the black bull, woolpack, queen the move on to Berlins and white bear, then either go to Visarge or Eden for the young ones or The Kings head and Park Lane which is now the Broadwalk I think.
  • Park Lane is now CLOSED - to re-open in Autumn 1999 under a new name, suggestions include 'The River Don Swimming Club' ('cos nobody in their right mind would go in there either) - qwait and see if the promised re-furb actually takes place this time and they don't just shove an old banger in a pot of black paint...
  • Karisma on a tuesday!
  • Visage on Silver Street isn't bad albeit a tad cheesy although your most likely to get into a fight in there, (My friend got bit on her back by 2 other women in there during a recent brawl.)
  • Park Lane on Bradford Row, affectionately known locally as Jurassic Park, the infamouus haunt of professional women, OAP's, and all-round slappers. Guys, only go there if you're into the grab-a-granny scene.
  • Karisma on Duke Street - handbag hell. Also changes its name biannually. Whether this is due to reputation I cannot say.
Karisma is a really cool club. Last time I went (Christmas 1996) student night was on Tuesday. This is really cool, everything from indie to heavy metal, drinks are cheap, and it's free to get in providing you get an entry card before (try the pub at the top of the same street as Karisma, used to be Cleveland Arms in the good old days, but has now changed its name). Karisma is also a cool place to meet people, has a burger bar and occasionally has well known acts playing.
  • The Warehouse - BYO dance venue on North Bridge. A lot more low key than it was when it first started, and may not be there much longer once the bridge reconstruction scheme starts.
  • Conisbrough has just got a new pub/club It's called the Venue (formerly Spinky's) It's popular with a lot of young people, sort of a Disco type place has a late licence. It also houses Manhattens bar and The Sports bar.
